“We were just passing through the area and needed a spot to stay. This was also or first time AirBnB. We were not disappointed. Steve was very friendly, prompt to respond to messages and questions, and greeted us upon arrival. The place was very clean and quite. It had everything we needed and more. Our daughter loved catching the lightning bugs in the evening. They were everywhere and it was beautiful. The lawn was well maintained with a little pond and flowers. The decor was was spot on with the theme and gave me ideas for our new house we are building. We hope to come back and visit longer.”

“This is a quaint and cozy hidden gem. Mary Ellen is an outstanding host and her cottage is lovely. If you are looking for a great place to mediate, enjoy some natural beauty, and be surrounded by tranquil sounds of nature (and quiet) this is utopia. The property is maintained very well. The cottage is charming and very clean. It is cozy and romantic, making a great escape for a weekend or longer. The cottage is furnished and the kitchen was has most everything you need if you would like to use it. I loved staying here and chatting with Mary Ellen. Definitely would stay here again. ”

“This house was immaculately clean, well-stocked, and in perfect working order. The house is spacious, comfortably furnished, and extremely 'homey' (in the best way!). Linda and Martin were extremely easy to reach, and were very helpful with any issues we had (we accidentally tripped a breaker on a kitchen appliance, and requested a place to shelter our cars when we saw there was hail in the forecast). A small market in Hartington and larger Hy-Vees in Yankton or Vermillion are all 30 mins or less away, and the house is also very convenient to Lewis and Clark park near Yankton. The grounds are scenic and we spent most evenings out among the fireflies, and several early mornings watching the sunrise. Reading in the sunroom was also a favored activity. Check-in and Check-out procedures were very clear and easy, as were the instructions for use of the grill and other house items (like the A/C and WiFi). If you are looking for a great place for a medium gathering (our party was 8) away from the city, definitely look at Farmhouse Inn.”
