This glamping site offers accommodation and breakfast in gypsy wagon and a vintage caravan ( see Chez Shea vintage glamping- also listed with Airbnb) Both have been carefully restored, featuring very different interiors. Come and check us out!
“Marie & Ger are incredible hosts, and the gorgeous vintage wagon surpassed all my expectations. From the minute I arrived I realised this is a very special place to stay. Delicious breakfasts served to me at the wagon: comfy, warm, cosy bed, cups of homemade mint & lemon tea were just some of the incredibly personal touches. The Beara peninsula has stunning scenery and the trip over the Healy Pass on a sunny day was breathtaking. I felt more like a friend than a guest. I would highly recommend Chez Shea. And I am already looking at booking again.”
Very isolated with good wifi. This lovely, but simple and bright property has the most wonderful views of the bay and mountains from the living room. You will not regret your choice. 35-90 euro price guide. Preferred changeover on Sat minimum stay 3 days (7 days min. in high season may-sep, sat changeover only).
“Great spot to stay. Only 15 mintue drive from the township of Kenmare. The best feature is the view... such a wonderful thing to wake up to and also come home to in the evening after a day of touring. Good value for money... no 'cleaning fee' but just the expectation to clean up and sweep up at the end of the stay (which we always do anyway). The only additional cost was the gas for heating which worked out to €15 for the 3 nights that we were there. Martin is a great host... was really handy to pick on his local knowledge to help us shape out day tripping plans.”
The Alpaca Lodge is a free standing stone building next to our farmhouse and herd of alpacas. The property dates back to the 19th century and has seen very little change over the years so most of the original features remain. The lodge has a warm and cozy bedroom with a king-size bed, a breakfast nook and en-suite bathroom. A Continental breakfast is brought to your door each morning. We are in a beautiful rural location 10 miles from Kenmare, and it is definitely worth the drive!
“Mia and Simon are the perfect hosts who offered accurate directions, quick responses and a smooth and easy check in. The lodge has been converted perfectly and is spotless and offers stunning views of Kenmare Bay. The delicious continental-style breakfast is served to your door in the morning and its plenty enough for two! If that's not enough then having the freedom to roam the land around the property with the Alpaca's is some experience that not many others can offer! Thank you for a wonderful stop over!”
