Karen's place was just right. 10 seconds from the beach, 30m from the beginning of the Three Distilleries Pathway and a stones throw from local shops; the idea mix for a break to a beautiful island. The accommodation felt like home-from-home, was well presented and Karen's communication made things easy. I would highly recommend.

Beautiful cottage right in the heart of Port Ellen. very comfortable and homely, with everything we needed. Comfy beds, well equipped kitchen. Anne was a great host, very responsive to messages and arranged for us to get access early to have our bags, so that we could go out and enjoy our first day on the island, having arrived on early morning flight. she messaged to check we'd got in ok and see whether we needed anything. Can't fault it - would stay again.

The Hamilton House is a wonderful accommodation, it is very centrally located in Port Ellen and is an ideal starting point to explore the island. When we entered the accommodation after the long journey, we were amazed at how fantastic this accommodation was. It was a complete house, equipped with everything you need. Three bedrooms, one with its own bathroom and shower. A very large, well-equipped kitchen with a very spacious adjoining living room made the stay perfect. The accommodation was very comfortable and very clean. Susan was a perfect host, very helpful and always available for us. The view of Port Ellen Bay is phenomenal. The pub and shopping opportunities are just a few minutes' walk away. The three distilleries to the south can also be reached on foot. If I visit the island of Islay again, this accommodation will be my first choice.
