Beautiful Apartment Connected to an Art Gallery

This stunning minimalist-inspired home adds its own artistic flair to the decor by placing bold and exciting art pieces throughout every room. With hardwood floors and black and white fixtures, each space has an elegant charm and character. Impressum Aglaja Schott Gütlingstr. 18b 14167 Berlin Our space is truly unique because it offers our guests to experience art while living in Berlin's popular district Mitte. The gallery and apartment is owned by an artist, who designed the space to show his work. Guests will have access to the whole gallery, but for rent is only the private apartment adherent to the gallery, including a small kitchen, a combined living sleeping area with a loft style bathtub and attached separate bathroom with shower. The other sleeping area can be separated by movable walls and has an extra bathroom with shower and toilet as well. Guests also have access to the back yard until 10 pm. Our aim is, to welcome all our guests personally and show them around and help them getting started in Berlin. Since we are also living in Berlin we are happy to help if any difficulties occur during the stay. It's Mitte, means closed to all cultural attractions, shopping and nightlife, but still quiet and you don't feel like living in a "bar". I like to call it the "new quiet Mitte" since recently a lot of luxury apartment buildings were constructed next to existing architecture, so it's for Mitte a pretty quiet neighbourhood, but Gendarmenmarkt, Checkpoint Charlie, Alexanderplatz, Friedrichstraße are all within easy walking distance (10min) Subway station (U-Bhf) Spittelmarkt 2 min walk. Several busses 3 min walk at Leipziger Str. Walking distance to Gendarmenmarkt, Checkpoint Charlie, Alexanderplatz and Friedrichstraße about 10 min. You can only access your apartment through the gallery, which may be gently used by the artist. Your apartment is private and will during your stay not be accessed by us. This large private 2-room guest suite (68 sqm / 732 sq ft) is located in an independent wing of our apartment, dedicated specifically to our guests and family members staying over at our place. It is completely independent and very private, located on the first floor, facing the calm and charming inner garden of a new construction condominium building with floor to ceiling french windows and luxurious indoor and outdoor finishings. A private elevator leads directly into the apartment, where a separate door opens directly into your private suite area. The space features elegant heartwood floors with central heating, a sleek, luxurious and modern bathroom with rain shower and separate bathtub, as well as a fully equipped modern high-end kitchen. The living spaces are elegantly furnished with lots of love to small details. The bedroom features a king size (180x200cm) luxurious and very comfortable boxspring bed, where good night's sleep is guaranteed! All rooms of the suite face calm idyllic gardens, that will make you forget that you're actually staying in the city center. Guests have access to a 49 inch TV with Amazon FireTV Stick and complimentary entertainment: International TV, Netflix & Amazon PrimeVideo. Every guest finds at his arrival a breakfast set containing coffee, tea, Nesquik, jam, honey, Nutella, cornflakes, as well as a fridge filled with fresh milk, juice, butter, cheese and salami. Croissants and mini baguettes are in the freezer and ready to be baked in the oven. You will also find cooking essentials as olive oil, aceto balsamico, salt and pepper. One of us is always available online. In case you need any kind of help, please don't hesitate to let us know and feel free to contact us. We'll be happy to help! Located in the historic city center, this charming neighborhood is walking distance from superb restaurants and shopping as well as iconic locations like the Alexanderplatz, Checkpoint Charlie, and opera houses. U2 subway station is located in front of the building entrance. S-Bahnhof Alexanderplatz is within 2 min walking distance. If you need to do your laundry please let us know one day before your arrival . We'll gladly do the laundry for you, but we need to organize it, as the washing machine is located in our part of the apartment. You'll find a laundry bag in the bedroom's closet. The full service costs 20€ (to be paid cash upon arrival).

Mi Kyung und Bert sind tolle Gastgeber! Ein feines Maß an Privatsphäre und netten Küchenschwätzchen. Die Küche ist übrigens sehr gut ausgestattet, das eigene Bad ist toll und für mich als Badewannenliebhaberin einfach herrlich 👌 Würde jederzeit und gerne wiederkommen! Das Zimmer ist groß genug für 2 Personen. Ich bin alleine gereist und hatte super viel Platz. Bert hat alle wichtigen und nützlichen Infos geteilt und ist jederzeit zu erreichen. Die Lage hat mir auch sehr gut gefallen - Bus und U-Bahn, Bergmannkiez, Curry36, Café, Parks,...alles da!

The location is really good and the transportation is very convenient. Checkpoint Charlie is just around the corner and I had no problem getting to all the major tourist attractions. It's also not too far to get back from a late night Berlin Philharmonic concert. The host couple is very friendly and attentive. The room and the bathroom is so clean and separated from the main residence of the host. The apartment is on the 6th floor with an elevator, which is great for travelers with heavy luggage. There is no kitchen, but there is a small fridge and teapot in the room, some dishes and cutleries, so you can buy something from the nearby REWE, large supermarket. Overall, everything is perfect.

I loved staying at Joshua’s!! The room is beautiful and decorated very tastefully, feels like a little boutique hotel and the old building is so lovely, like from a different era. Loved the bathroom next to the room and the kitchen next door. Joshua is an incredibly kind host, very attentive recommending places nearby but at the same time very respectful of a guest’s space and flexible to unforeseen circumstances. Also has two super lovely cats! Recommended 10/10, thanks again Joshua!
