Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Lake Vermilion

Nicol’s place was very private and quiet. Located in a private bay on Shagawa Lake with no noise from other boats or vacationers. The house was clean and spacious, just as described. We had plenty of space for 7 and could have easily fit more. The beds were comfortable and everyone slept great. The kitchen was well appointed & had everything we needed for cooking all our meals in. We rented a pontoon from Lakewood Lodge to complete our week on the lake. We highly recommend Nicol’s place & would stay here again.

My family and I had such an incredible stay at Jennifer’s lake house. It was the perfect combination of spacious, cozy, and private for us to spend our Christmas week there. The location and wintry weather had us feeling like we were in a snow globe. The house was even decorated for the season, and had more than enough room for the group we had. Makes me excited for the summer months, as I would absolutely book here again!

We stayed at this property to ride the ATV trail system. You could not ask for a better location to the system. Easy to get to the trails, and access to two great loops to ride.

Beautiful home with a beautiful view. We had a great time fishing, eating at various places and traveling the North Shore.

All four couples agreed this was a great place! Annie was incredibly responsive, friendly, and helpful -- her super host designation is clearly deserved. Super easy entry, plenty of parking, spacious home w/two nice screened porches in beautiful, quiet surroundings. Probably the best equipped/stocked kitchen I've seen, including great welcome snacks. Comfy beds, nice showers, and the best most fluffy towels ever! Walls are a bit thin, but useful sleep machines are provided in each room. Bring an old record to listen to and maybe contribute to the house collection! Perfect for Giants Ridge golf - 5 minutes from the Quarry, 10 mins from the Legend, and 40 mins to the Wilderness in Tower. Thank you Annie for a wonderful stay!

Brian's place was a nice place to stay. I thought it was nicer in person than what the pictures reflected. Would definitely stay here again!

Wow! It was such a beautiful home, and the area was incredible and so peaceful. The house truly had everything we needed and more. It had a huge kitchen, large eating spaces, beautiful bedrooms with comfy beds. We loved the bunk room combined with a game room/movie projector area! Outside we enjoyed playing corn hole, Jenga and s’mores around the fire pit. My entire family had a wonderful vacation. Such a fabulous way to start the summer. Jake and Annie were great hosts. Excellent communication! Always received a prompt response.

Joan and Don’s place was beautiful and they were very responsive. Don built much of the place by hand which is impressive! We enjoyed seeing faint northern lights, playing board games at the big table, cooking in the chefs kitchen, and baking in the sauna by the lake. For a remote winter getaway with a large group, this is the place.

Great place. Very close to where I come to town to work. Has everything you’ll need. Nice and warm. Usually quiet but if the upstairs neighbors are movin around you’re definitely gonna hear them. Otherwise it’s perfect!

Hosts were friendly and helpful. Very clean and tidy space, with household necessities for a few days' stay. Hot tub was a great feature after walking 10 miles of the nearby Masabi Trail.

Great place for me to stay while I was in the area for 2½ weeks. Quiet and convenient and great communication!

Debbie's place was very nicely decorated and had everything we needed. It's a great location - walkable to restaurants and shops, and close to the Bear and Wolf centers and close to hiking trails. We would highly recommend!

Donny was very accommodating from start to finish. Very responsive and answered any and all questions we had. The place was perfect, super clean and nice and warm! Would definitely stay again. Thanks so much!

How fun! This basement apartment was spacious with several sleeping quarters, full kitchen, and full bathroom. The beds were comfortable and the space gets very dark for good sleeping, and we enjoyed the common space living room/kitchen. The decor was really creative. It is a basement and we stayed on the 4th of July, so we did not experience the quiet hours, but the whole fun little town was alive and having fun that night, so no concerns. If quiet is a must, basement apartments are not the way to go and we know and are ok with that, but if you’re not, this is something to avoid. The kitchen is stocked, but only for a couple people, so bringing paper products is helpful. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay!

Our stay at Crane Lake was great! Everything was as described. Mike and Angie were amazing hosts. The garage space was so great for our kids and they loved hanging out there. The dock space was amazing and lots of good fishing right off the dock. The paddle boat was a big hit with my kiddos. We would definitely come back again!

Enjoyed a beautiful couples getaway weekend at Cabin O' Pines! Ross was very helpful in every way! From his knowledge on the lake to making sure we had access to whatever we needed. Killer view of the lake from the front porch. The property was large and offered many things to do. Everyone was welcoming and friendly!

Hidden Minnesota gem. The place is even better than the photos. Serene, extremely tranquil. Beautiful lake and lots to do for kids and adults equally. Love coming back to this place.

If willing to make the drive away from all signs of civilization, whether it be for golfing, skiing, camping, roadtripping or otherwise, Jody’s place will always come out on top. The Bear Den Lodge exceeded all expectations, and had so many fun touches throughout the place in addition to its reliable amenities. My party made use of most offerings such as the screened hut, sauna, grill, large backyard, game room, washer/dryer, and the fancy bath tub! There were hardly any issues, the place was pristinely prepared, welcoming to guests and bears (only fake ones), and secluded. The only problem that occurred was a fire alarm being set off by the grilling we did. Due to the location of the grill, it may be more susceptible to triggering the fire alarm. To combat this, we opened a few windows in the front of the house (away from the grill), and turned on all fans and air control units (which were excellently reliable). In short, tremendous place, and I would certainly revisit!

We had a wonderful stay at The Hideaway! We drove up from Mississippi for a white Christmas and spent most of our time ice skating on the lake, reading, and playing board games. The cabin was cozy and had everything we needed for a relaxing family vacation: books, games, puzzles, the lake, even extra dog bags for clean up. My oldest went ice fishing a few times. As an amateur baker, I loved that the kitchen had things like bread pans, a pastry blender, a dough scraper, etc. It made the Christmas and New Year’s baking of delicious breads and desserts much easier. Highly recommend and considering another stay this summer!

We had a wonderful stay with 8 adults, 4 kids, 2 dogs! There were multiple living areas which was great for kids and adults to spread out as needed. Another highlight was all 12 of us fitting at the kitchen table. We rented a pontoon through the property manager which was another fun part of the weekend. We cooked all meals at the home which was well equipped to do so! The coffee area was darling and we also enjoyed the sun room! They really thought of everything here, would love to return!

We loved our stay at Tad’s cabin on Wakemup Bay! The kitchen was fabulous, and well stocked to make cooking easy. The beds were very comfortable. When we unexpectedly lost power, Tad came to check on us. The power outage was wide spread, and due to wind… nothing to do with the cabin. Tad or Ruby replied quickly if we had a question, and communication was great. We played lots of pool, and went fishing everyday. My son was thrilled with the northern pike, walleye and small mouth bass he caught. It is great swimming off the dock, and I appreciated the stairs up to the dock! The area is quieter than other places we’ve stayed, and we really liked that. We could walk our dog right from the cabin, and there were grassy areas for her to play. We definitely would love to return next summer! Thank you Tad!
