Family-friendly holiday rentals in Lake Lure

This is our third year coming to Karen’s home and it’s simply amazing. The views and location are stunning. We will definitely be back for year 4 next year!

Grace is an absolutely amazing Airbnb host with an incredible level of hospitality! Without a doubt, the property was the cleanest I've ever stayed at. Every amenity was exactly as described, if not better, and the entire property was not just clean, but truly pristine and thoughtfully set up. Grace was also incredibly responsive to messages and very helpful, offering lots of fantastic recommendations for the area. I highly recommend staying at her property—she truly goes above and beyond, you won't regret it.

This cabin was the perfect base camp for a week of biking, hiking, and trail running. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook our own meals (but lots of options within a 20 minute drive when we didn't feel like cooking!). We enjoyed being able to bring our dog along with us, and he loved getting to sniff around in the woods by the house. We hope to come back!

Beautiful spot. Matthew is a gentleman host who made us feel at home. Bungalow had an Aspen ski vibe which added a flair to the snowfall. The hot tub was warm and roomy, so says this zoftig lady. The snow views were gorgeous. Definitely would stay again.

House was extremely clean and very secluded (which we enjoyed). It is a little bit off the highway, but a great property for two families. Beds were comfy and plenty of space to relax after a long hike!

Great cabin and host. A little tricky finding the driveway by the gps but she gave instructions. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back in the near future

Great location for a quick family weekend get away. Loved the scenic location, wildlife, and sound of the creek from the comfy porch. Listing as described, kitchen clean and functional. Beds/pillows clean and comfortable. Location close to Asheville and local attractions.

This cabin was the perfect spot for a getaway! The cabin itself was just perfect, cozy and clean. We loved the fireplace and walking trails on the property. The downtown area was a short drive away and had plenty of great food and shopping options. I would definitely stay here again it was an amazing trip and it was so wonderful to be able to bring our dog for a whole family vacation!

Wonderful place to stay. The hosts were very communicative and the house was absolutely gorgeous. We would absolutely stay here again and would highly recommend it.

We absolutely loved staying at this cabin near the river and close to town. It's about a 30 minute drive from Waynesville which is close enough for convenience but far enough away for peace and quiet. The area surrounding the cabin is stunning and private. Charles is an excellent host and the entire experience was well organized. We have absolutely nothing bad to say nor any recommendations for improvement. We would definitely stay there again 10/10

The stay was amazing. It was clean, to the point I would say it was spotless. Plenty of amenities are provided. The cottage was temperature controlled and made me and my girlfriend feel at home. I would definitely recommend. For its quality, the cottage is a very cheap stay! It could definitely be more pricey because of how nice it is.

Great place to stay if you’re looking to enjoy mountain surroundings and stay away from hustle and bustle of downtown Asheville. Lots of things to do and see on this north end of the Asheville area. Good restaurants and unique breweries available in nearby Weaverville about a 10 minute drive from this cabin. Hosts are great and cabin is nice, cozy and very clean.

It’s such a calm place. I enjoyed sitting on the couch each morning, drinking coffee and watching the horses across the way. The coffee the hosts provided was delicious. The bed was very comfortable. The hosts were welcoming, their old dog was very sweet, and the few glimpses and sounds of an active and loving family made me nostalgic for old times, when my children were young.

Liz was a wonderful and incredibly helpful host. She made sure we had everything we needed for a smooth and enjoyable stay. The house itself was absolutely beautiful and so peaceful, tucked away in a quiet spot that felt like a true retreat. It was the perfect setting for our friends trip, with plenty of space to relax and hang out together. The location was ideal, just outside of Asheville and within 20 minutes of everywhere we wanted to go, from hikes and breweries to downtown spots. The fenced in yard was a huge bonus our pups, who had the best time exploring and playing. One of our favorite features was the Bluetooth fire pit..it made for such fun and cozy nights. We couldn’t have asked for a better place or host. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again!

Our visit was epic! The cabin was gorgeous, spacious, inviting, roomy, and comfortable. Great supply of amenities. Julia went the extra mile to make sure we had everthing we needed. Her information packet was very informative. Best of all were the detailed instructions on how to locate the cabin. Julia is friendly and quickly responds to every communication.

It was immediately apparent that Robert's place was one of the good ones! It was a charming historic bungalow furnished and outfitted with care and thoughtfulness. Handsome antique furniture served us well, classic lamps and artwork lent elegance, comfortable furniture arranged to allow for easy gatherings. The kitchen lacked for nothing and the large antique wood plank table accomdated our extended family. Bedrooms featured comfortable beds and crisp linens as well as blinds on windows that opened and provided delightful cross breezes. The bathrooms were spotlessly clean and showers had seemingly endless hot water. We appreciated the handy laundry room. A back deck and patio provided safe haven for our bicycles as well as a barbecue grill! Mostly we enjoyed the comfortable screened porch . We spent every evening here enjoying the sounds of happy children at the neighborhood swimming pool as well as a spring downpour. We hope to return someday for the next family reunion.

The location of this beautiful house is in a mountain nature preserve. Simply amazing. Like staying in a national park.

Exceeded our expectations! Jody and Shaun were so nice and very accomodating with their beautiful cabin. Every thing you would want they had in the cabin as in dishes, cookware, coffee, etc... Jody's place was so tastefully decorated and the bed was absolutely plush and the shower was very nice, sizeable and with great water pressure. The pool and hot tub were so much fun and although we didn't use the firepit it was the best set up I have seen. Truly, this was about the best Airbnb we have stayed at! Jody and Shaun are so down to earth and very communicative. I highly 10 out 10 recommend! We can't wait to come back!

This was our favorite Air B & B rental. The farm is more beautiful than we expected. The house was inviting and we felt right at home. We loved the pool , hot tub and the wonderful back porch over looking the gorgeous scenery. Doug is amazing.He is quick to respond and very helpful before and during our trip. We cant wait to go back and visit!

Josh was very flexible and responsive for a last minute stay. The backyard is beautiful and we felt right at home. Josh also gave lots of great recommendations. We really enjoyed our stay in Asheville!

This was our first stay here, and we LOVED it! Beautiful surroundings and the house was great. I enjoyed walking our dog around the local area and finding trails and waterfalls. Lots of deer around the house. Perfect location to everything we wanted to go see and do, and we really appreciate the local recommendations. Thanks again for allowing us to stay and we hope to visit again soon :)

Great place, relaxing and very clean! Shane is a great host, he made sure everything was in great shape before we checked in and also gave great recommendations for local activities since we couldn’t use the pool due to weather conditions. Any time I reached out to him, he responded almost immediately. Highly recommend, we will definitely stay here if we visit Asheville again.
