Family-friendly holiday rentals in Lake Anna

Our hostess, Tina, was easily available over a call or chat. The place is located at a serene location with a lot of horses around. We fed a few apples to the horses and the kids really enjoyed the whole experience. We also used the firepit under the open wide sky, it was very cozy. Gordonsville town was just 10 mins drive away with amenities like gas stations, 7-Eleven, Foodlion, etc. The house is beautifully decorated and has all the listed amenities. While we were cutting my nephew's birthday cake, our dog slipped into the master bedroom and damaged the comforter on the bed (a 3-4 inches long rip). We informed the same to Tina the next morning and offered to pay for the damages but she was very polite with us and mentioned that such incidentals are usually included in the cost and she'll let the owner know - if needed, he'll contact me. We really appreciate this gesture and would highly recommend their place for a beautiful holiday experience.

The house was well kept and had everything we needed. We loved the amount of space for our family of 5! The patio, deck with grill and fire pit were wonderful additions. The area and yard were beautiful. Such a wonderful getaway!

Stay was great. The host was very responsive. The house was very clean. And the farm was so fun for my kids!

This was our second time to the farm and I can not think of a better way to welcome the New Year with our children and grand children. The kids LOVE the farm and everyone we encountered couldn't have been nicer. We walked along the farm road everyday feeding carrots to the horses. There were babies this year as an extra bonus. ALSO on one of our walks we came upon a heard of PUPPIES! Small children and puppies couldn't have been cuter. The house was decorated for Christmas so we could put our presents under the tree for our belated family Christmas. Everything was amazing. Our Host Tina responded quickly to everything we needed. I hope we get to return soon.

Had a lovely stay at this horse farm Airbnb! The property was beautiful and the horses were stunning. Great experience overall. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway surrounded by nature and lovely animals.

This is my second time staying at Stevensons Ridge and it was just as wonderful as the first! Beautiful property, beautiful view, and beautiful experience.

We had a great time at the place, the kids loved the lake, which is so close! We cooked our meals in a very nice kitchen, and used the grill outside, and the fire pit. Took the kids on the 2 kayaks outside, and enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere of the are. Kate is a great host, very lovely and responsive.

A beautiful, healing nature retreat with a supportive host. Camping on Darlene's land was an awesome experience. I loved exploring the creek and all the cool rocks, shells, nests, and animal tracks. You can follow it all the way down to the river and find lots of great little camping spots and other hidden gems along the way. This nature medicine combined with being able to relax in the sauna made it a wonderful few days of self care and healing. Darlene also offered an intro session in pathwork that really resonated with me as well as took me to tour a nearby regenerative farm. It was great and I will definitely be back!

This stay is lovely and convenient. We wanted a last minute getaway and it was easy to book and be sure everything would be ready for when we arrived later that day. Description is very accurate. If we stayed again, we would leave our dog at home. There are somewhat steep stairs going to the loft and our 65 lb pupper with iffy joints was nervous coming down them. No problem for fully able humans, though!

This is one of the best places we’ve stayed at, the cabin is the absolute cutest, private, cozy and welcoming homes! We really wished we lived closer to the area because we would absolutely book again and stay longer. Our dogs enjoyed the area and were welcomed with little biscuits!! I really can’t say enough about this cabin and we were only there 1 night. Jennifer was absolutely amazing, she is quick to respond and extremely helpful and kind!

The Corn Crib was a last minute booking for an overnight on a longer trip and were so sad it was just 1 night! The property is absolutely gorgeous and we look forward to coming back!

We had a wonderful stay at the lake house on Lake Anna in Mineral, VA! The place suited our needs perfectly, and then some! The home is perfectly situated for an amazing view of the lake and even though there were lots of steps leading down to the water (and back up), our time playing on the lake was Fabulous. The house itself was great. A fantastic and well-equipped kitchen helped us prepare meals for the family, and the grill was clean and easy to use. We had everything we needed to sleep as well. Comfortable beds and plenty of covers for cool mornings. Oh.. and the fire pit was great with the provided wood. We all had several fires late into the evening which was a perfect way to cap off a lovely day. Don't hesitate! Book now. You won't be sorry.

We had a wonderful time at this beautiful property on Lake Anna. We had 4 young children and 3 adults for our trip. We had plenty of space in the home, and the beach area was perfect for our children to swim. In addition to swimming off the beach, we enjoyed boating, tubing, kayaking, and paddle boarding. It was so nice to have kayaks and paddle boards included on the property. When we weren’t outside we spent a lot of time on the screened-in porch. Evenings were spent down on the dock with a drink watching the sun go down on comfortable chairs. We enjoyed exploring the surrounding area as well. We ate at four different restaurants. Had no problem stocking up groceries at Food Lion and grabbing a few things when needed from Dollar General. The surrounding wildlife was big plus. We saw some cool birds and saw deer going across the property at dusk. It was our first trip to Lake Anna but won’t be our last.

The cabin on the lake was relaxing, comfortable and a great central place for allowing us to visit the historic Civil War battlefields in the area, Monticello and close enough to Washington D.C.to enjoy two days of sightseeing there. We enjoyed sitting on the rocking chairs on the cabin porch and watching the fishermen in their boats, the birds and especially the swan who came to visit us.

My partner and I had an amazing stay at this cozy cabin. The location was absolutely perfect - secluded, peaceful, and relaxing. Nestled on an active farm, it offered just the right mix of quiet countryside and unique character. Patti is the most responsive host we’ve ever been in contact with on Air Bnb, her knowledge and friendly demeanor make her an exceptional host that you will just want to come back. Especially after 2 lobsters showed up to her front porch, she let us borrow her aloe vera! One of my favorite touches was finding farm fresh eggs, some English muffins, Canadian bacon, and coffee/tea already stocked for us. It really made us feel welcomed and cared for. Waking up to the sounds of the farm, a slight rainstorm, and enjoying a fresh cup of tea on the front deck in a rocking chair what exactly what we needed! I highly recommend this place to anyone looking to disconnect and unwind for the weekend. We’ll definitely be back!

Great host, gorgeous views, and a quaint old home with history. Queen bed was very comfy and ac worked great! Host greeted us, answered any questions we had, provided local recommendations for our anniversary, and had even more amenities than we expected upon arrival. Would definitely come back if in the area again! My dogs loved the farm.
