Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Lagos

Our stay was perfect — in every sense of the word. Just a short walk from Praia da Luz and only minutes from Lagos, the most beautiful town in the Algarve with its breathtaking coastline. The house itself was absolutely flawless and exactly as described. The only thing that deviated from our expectations was the sea view — even better than the photos could ever capture. The view over Praia da Luz is simply stunning, one you could never get tired of. Before arriving, I wondered how a place on AirBnB could have a rating above 4.9 — now I understand. Aside from the fantastic house, I especially want to thank José for his warm and very, very welcoming hospitality. We were also genuinely touched by Manuel and his wife, who would stop for a friendly chat whenever we saw them. Such incredibly heart-warming and lovely people — truly remarkable. If we ever return to the Algarve, one thing is absolutely certain: we’ll be coming back here!

We really enjoyed our stay at Alberto's house, who is a very friendly host. the house is ultra clean, well decorated, and bright. the bedding is quality as well as the linen. The patio is very nice and looks bigger than in the photos. Alberto left us bottles of water in the fridge, as well as fruit and coffee capsules, very much appreciated! The accommodation is located a few minutes from Lagos and its beaches, which makes it easy to get there by car. We will definitely be back!

Our stay at Nathalie’s place was fantastic! She’s incredibly sweet and very attentive to her guests. Wonderful recommendations for restaurants. You should definitely stay here if you’re looking for a calm and peaceful space away from the hustle and bustle! Beautiful large salt water pool and the most amazing water pressure in the shower that I’ve ever had.

This place really is a home away from home! The kitchen was great for preparing our meals and there was room to spread out in the house. The outdoor spaces were excellent, too bad about the rainy weather, but not something a host can control!

The house was the perfect location for my friend's bachelor party! The house itself was beautiful, great view of the ocean and golf course from the roof, and the pool and hot tub complete the experience. One of the beds did not have sheets or pillow cases on arrival, but otherwise it was a very pleasant experience!

Very relaxing accommodation that is beautifully and uniquely furnished. Perfect to have large balconies that looked straight out onto the water. Easy to walk to beach, shops and restaurants. Great location for walking along the coast or travelling out by car for the day. Helena was extremely helpful getting us settled into her accommodation. We would be happy to stay again.

We had a great time at Martina's chic and cozy house! It has everything you want and has a beautiful private garden. Martina is a very thoughtful host and always available for questions. The location is great, just a few minutes drive to the nearest beach in a quiet village. Lagos and the fantastic beaches on the Atlantic coast are also easily accessible by car. Highly recommended!

First time to the Luz area, which was made even better with our stay at this wonderful home. The house was great with large living areas, an excellent outdoor space with a pool and a location that was private but also ideally situated for easy access to the beach and restaurants.

Lovely place and Victor was such a kind host. Perfectly situated with parking right beside the apartment but also in the centre of town. Super clean and big apartment. Loved our stay here.

A great apartment with everything that we needed. Lovely balcony to sit at and enjoy a view and also the sounds of the street below. Nice to have lots of amenities including a washing machine and line to dry clothes on. Easy to get to and from the train station with only a 15min walk and 10mins to the bus station. We enjoyed our stay and hope to be back again.

We had the most beautiful time at Casa da Montanha. Would not have anything any other way, everything you may need is at your disposal. Luz is an amazing place to holiday and relax in. We are very sad to have only had 4 nights, we would've loved to do another week here!! Thanks so much for the stay, we will be back!!

Anja and Paul's home was fantastic! Everything was immaculate! Paul waited for us and showed pointed to where the stores were, everything was within walking distance and a very comfortable walk. What a fantastic apartment! Truly a home from home! Eva and Michael are just lovely and are fabulous hosts. The outdoor barbecue was just brilliant- go to the fish market and grill some blue fin tuna - just lovely! Thank you !

Pedro and Inês were amazing hosts. Pedro did not hesitate to help anytime we had a question, and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. Having someone you can trust in a new city is very comforting. The location is quiet, and truly walkable to the main squares, markets and beaches. Although there is no air conditioning in the unit, we found it very manageable with the fan and opening windows. The view on the balcony is absolutely gorgeous, just like you see in the photos. The whole unit was also very clean. We are very thankful for all they did for us to make our honeymoon the best it could be!!

All the previous reviews of Michael's apartment accurately reflect this excellent property. We have visited Lagos several times and we were absolutely delighted with the apartment. Communications with Michael were very helpful and responsive. Arrival and check in was well organised and easy. The location is perfect for access to the beach and a short pleasant walk to the main town with abundant bars and restaurants. The balcony overlooking the marina was a real highlight for us and we had a fantastic relaxing stay. Recommended without hesitation.

Great place in Burgau with lots of toys for the kids and so easy to walk to restaurants and the beach. A very sweet spot!

The most amazing place we’ve ever stayed. We travel as a family of 7 and use Airbnb regularly all over the world. This is the best presented, best location, so close to fun experiences, history, culture, beaches. We all loved it and wish we’d stayed longer. The house is beautiful, well thought out and stunningly decorated, with well curated art. It felt like home much more than the average Airbnb experience. Highly recommended.

We stayed for 2 weeks with a 6 month old and 2 year old. Perfect house for us. Loads of kids toys and equipment, including potty, plastic plates, cups and cutlery, blender, etc. The pool was lovely. House was super clean and had loads of space. Host very responsive to any questions we had. 15/20 min walk to old town where there are loads of nice restaurants. Few nice places nearby too. Close to a big supermarket. We mostly drove to the beach but it is walkable. Had everything we needed and it’s a lovely house, would definitely recommend.

Great place to stay! property was in great condition, and was a great base for our group of 8. All the bedrooms were an even size and the open plan space downstairs was fantastic. lovely garden and pool. BBQ also extremely clean which is not always the case and all appliances were easy to use. check in and check out were easy and the host was always contactable.

We had a really nice time at this Airbnb. The place was just as advertised—clean, comfortable, and in a great location. The beach was stunning and only a short walk away, which was perfect. The heated pool was a nice bonus, especially with a 6-year-old, and the whole property was well-kept. The area was quiet and peaceful, just what we were looking for. The host was responsive and helpful whenever we had questions. Everything went smoothly, and we’d happily stay here again. A solid choice for a relaxing getaway! A few tips, the best food in Lagos is Tasca do Kiko, also there is a cafe called Everyday People cafe, perfect for breakfast.

The villa was absolutely beautiful. It looked exactly like the photos. It accommodated 6 adults and 2 children comfortably. Whilst we were there the towels were changed, beds were stripped, pool cleaned, gardens maintained. The villa is very well cared for. Agree with other reviews that you either need a car or be prepared to get a taxi (7 euros to the marina). The walk is doable but part of it is along a quick road with blind corners and no pavement. We didn’t feel safe doing it. We had one issue that was dealt with - thank you for the responsive communication. Thank you for the welcome drink left in the fridge. We were met personally on arrival and could check in early due to a morning flight. We would 100% stay here again and recommend.

Had a wonderful 8 days at the villa. Cristina has been a wonderful host, helping us with any queries re the villa and surrounding area. The villa is fabulous, with amazing views of the beach and sea, peaceful surroundings and a beautiful pool area. It’s a 40min walk into Lagos harbour area, approx. And a 10min car drive. All the rooms were clean and minimalist which was perfect. It would have been nice to have had a shower holder/mount in our room (double that looks over the pool) as we had to use the showers in our friends rooms. The kitchen was fab and filled with all the utensils and equipment we needed. Living areas and balconies were comfortable and relaxing. Loved the neutral decor throughout. Would be more than happy to come back for a future stay. Thank you! ☺️

We stayed at this property for three nights with my children and parents, and it was perfection. Everything was brand new and top quality. You could tell there was a lot of attention to detail when designing / refurbishing the space. Stefanie was super-responsive and it was a breeze getting in and checking-out. We hope to stay there again when it warms up so we can use the breathtaking pool area. 10/10.

My wife Beth and I just had our wedding at the tiny whale lodge and it could not have been more perfect! Every single detail was considered and taken care of and the team we met could not have been more friendly, helpful and responsive. We would come back every year if we could!!
