Heated (in the summermonths june to sept) outside pool, large well equipped kitchen, beautifully maintained garden. Here absolute tranquillity is guaranteed. Gordes is a lively village with good restaurants, an interesting chateau and art museum and a multitude of shops specialising in colorful arts and crafts of the Provence. We don't live nearby. Gordes is a classified medieval village "un des plus beaux villages de France". Many tourists during the day, but very quiet in the morning until 9h30, then again from 19h onwards. Our house is completely isolated from the road, you only hear birds sing and the church-bell in the morning! Starry starry nights... It is also ideal for biking in the spring and autumn months. Not to hot. Biking rental shop at 5km, Mont Ventoux one hour, hilly villages in the surroundings. Biker’s Paradise! Gordes is 50 minutes away by car from Intl.Airport Marseille-Provence, 35 minutes drive from the TGV-station at Avignon. 2 hours drive from the Cote d'Azur. The winding road from the main road to our Mas is medieval, with a width of only 2 meters. Small cars pass easily, even a Bmw 3 or Audi 4, a Rolls needs some more practice. we are the only house in the end of the road, this gives us a natural security.
