This was the third time we rented the Black House and it's starting to feel like a home away from home. Proximity to the cross country ski trails is fantastic and the house is spotless, cozy and the kitchen is well stocked! Stéphanie is incredibly responsive to all messages and very friendly in all communications. highly recommend!!!!!

We were so pleased with our stay! Chalet with a very nice view, warm atmosphere, lots of equipment for cooking. Very clean and tidy place. Lyne is very available to answer questions, she responds very quickly and seems to care about the well-being of her hosts! Highly recommend:)

What a great spot - so peaceful. The house is enormous, inviting, and comfortable. It was just me staying there for one night so way more house than I needed, but it beat the heck out of a hotel for the night. Despite the odd knicks and scratches of an older home, the place is wonderfully clean and the bed I slept in was very comfy - ah the silence of the countryside with the window wide open.

The place was spacious, light and very clean . Great location. fantastic views. Laurence was prompt in her communications and informative. Would definitely recommend.

Its a great place inside. Though area felt a bit shady with some homeless people in the area. But its close to the old quebec city. Parking is a downside. But 3 minutes walk isnt terrible if it wasnt raining during out stay.

Gisèle is very kind, welcoming and available. The accommodation is very well equipped and clean, very quiet, comfortable bed.

Outside for aquatic enthusiasts, everything is there. Terrace with fireplace, etc... as shown in the photos. If you are looking for calm, the dock by the lake will delight you; the house is located in the heart of the village which is quite busy and noisy during the day (that's life) but around 8:00 p.m. everything is quieter; everything is central, everything is done on foot, grocery store, etc... You won't have a view of the lake from inside, you have to leave the house and go to the grounds. There was only one exit from the house, no emergency exit, maybe the windows adjacent to the sidewalk were one. I enjoyed my stay, the hosts were very helpful and I recommend it to everyone according to your needs, everything is there.

Very friendly! Small touches particularly appreciated: beer glasses offered on arrival, coffee offered for the road, etc. Warm welcome with a visit of the places and good tips about activities in the surroundings. Thanks again for a lovely stay!

What a beautiful place and what a welcome from Renée! Accommodation located directly on the edge of the river with an outdoor layout to enjoy it (campfire, swing). And of course a magnificent view of the mountains of Charlevoix. Very clean, welcoming and comfortable accommodation. Everything was there! The bed and sofa bed were very comfortable. We loved it! We will definitely go back! Thank you Renée for your hospitality!

Beautiful place. Uninterrupted view of the river, exactly as in the photos. No smell of sulphur in the water, contrary to what some previous comments said. Everything was perfect. I highly recommend it.

I went to Jérôme's place with my family. We all enjoyed the place despite the rain outside. I super recommend this place. The host was nice and very responsive.

Very nice weekend in this small rustic chalet, everything was present as described. It's super quiet, easy to cook. The small outdoor shower is practical although cold at this time but you had to expect it. I suggest a curtain or a canvas for the large window in front of the beds, simply because it is currently light very early! Also, don't forget your mosquito repellent and coils according to the season, we had few mosquitoes on the hike and outside but they seemed to want to enter the hut at all costs, and in large groups. We used tactics. Maybe the door could be better sealed! We highly recommend the place for the calm, the cleanliness, the lack of network which is good!

Beautiful house located in the forest. Very quiet, easy to access. Accommodation for 8 people. Very well equipped.

Great stay to disconnect in the middle of winter, we loved the peacefulness of the place and the comfort of the accommodation! The jaccuzi was very nice, as were the small hiking trails (feasible in snowshoes or boots depending on the area). We'll try to come back in summer to see the 2 seasons! Thanks again for the hospitality and arrangements.

Absolutely beautiful views! Very cozy - I spent an entire day in reading by the giant window, but it’s also close to several provincial parks so it was perfect for hiking as well. Everything was exactly as listed and I checked in and out with no issues :)
