Hostel holiday rentals in Kyoto

Was a great experience staying in a traditional guesthouse. The hosts were lovely, cafe was great, and our room was clean, tidy and full of character. Shared facilities (kitchen, toilets, showers) were all very basic and old but were clean enough and did the job. Definitely worth the compromise to experience staying a few nights in a traditional Japanese room! We arrived 15 mins early and were told we had to wait to check-in. Not a major issue as we just sat in the cafe and had a coffee but seemed a little unnecessary as the room was clearly ready (and we were clearly exhausted!) Thanks Team Gojo!

This is a hostel but not like any hostel in USA. So clean, private, safe, and comfortable. Wang greeted us and made wonderful recommendations so we went to he Monkey Park (WOW) amazing views in their habitat and views, then Hot Springs and Bamboo forest all within walking distance. Ate and drank and local places recommended that we would never have found. Next day - took Uber to Golden Temple. Such a short stay but did so much. Thank you Mulan and Wang! Highly recommend.

This was an amazing stay! The room and entire hostel is very comfortable, clean, and artistically decorated. They have great amenities like a full kitchen, laundry, and even a workspace/library. The location is away from the most touristy attractions in Kyoto, but we never had a problem getting to where we want. There are plenty of public transportation options near the hostel. Yusuke also provides maps and guides to help with getting around and gives recommendations within the neighborhood to explore a more local Kyoto. Overall, would definitely recommend Yusuke’s place.

We really enjoyed our stay here! Self check in was super easy and convenient, hosts were very friendly, amenities were exactly as described. The bathroom showers could use a little more cleaning but overall pretty clean! Rooms were very clean.

We had a lovely time staying here, Yusuke provided a map upon our arrival and showed us tons of local restaurants, cafes, shrines and other attractions and provided all the opening times. He was also kind enough to drive us to the subway station after we couldn’t book a taxi in time! The area is very quiet and peaceful, and the room was quite spacious to what we were used to in Japan. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting a calming break from busy city stays, and would happily stay here again :)

Me encanto quedarme en La Casa. Esta muy bien ubicada.. a solo unas cuadras de la estación JR de Kyoto. La habitación era espaciosa y la conexión a internet muy buena. Ideal si tenes que trabajar.

Emiko et sa famille sont adorables, bienveillants, à l’écoute, plein de bons conseils et astuces. La chambre est bien agencée et tout confort. Ce fut un réel plaisir de résider chez eux.

We had a great stay at Unknown Kyoto. It was in a great location for all of our planned activities. The staff was very friendly and our room was just what we needed.

Ich habe die Unterlunft vom ersten Moment an geliebt. Es ist traumhaft schön und man fühlt sich sofort wohl und dank dem liebevollen Empfang von Gojo sehr willkommen. Ich wäre so gerne noch länger geblieben!

ห้องพักสะอาด กว้าง เหมาะกับการพักอาศัยแบบครอบครัว ทางบันไดค่อนข้างเล็ก อาจจะลำบากในการขนย้ายสัมภาระที่มีขนาดใหญ่ บริเวณรอบๆมีความสงบ ใครที่ต้องการเดินทางไป INE ใช้เวลาเดินทางเพียงครึ่งชั่วโมง ที่นี่จึงเป็นอีกตัวเลือกสำหรับคนที่ต้องการเที่ยวแถว AmanoและIne

교토역에서 5분정도 걸으면 있는 숙소입니다. 1층의 공동 주방 욕실, 2층의 객실 모두 청결하고 사용하기 편합니다.

Schöne Unterkunft mit guter Ausstattung (in Küche und Gemeinschaftsbad). Betten sind etwas quietschig und die Zimmer sehr hellhörig.

Very convenient location near to Kyoto station and a short walk from the beautiful streets of Kyoto. Clean and exactly what we needed as a base for our time.

The interior and facilities are very clean, the toilet and bathroom are separate but shared and very clean. If I have a chance, I might choose this place again.

Ace est très sympathique, toujours prêt à vous aider si besoin, la personne qui fait le ménage est agréable, souriante. C'était vraiment chouette. Tout est très propre, la literie est confortable. Il y'a des sièges de massage dans le salon.. C'est très bien situé dans Kyoto. On peut aller à la gare à pied. Il y'a un métro à 3 minutes de marche environ. Un musée, un temple à 10 mn. Je reviendrai avec grand plaisir.

Stayed here for 4 nights in the female dormitory. I loved the place, surrounded by green fields, mountains and it was quiet and had a great weather to walk around. It was a bit far from the station (Omi-Maiko Station) like 15-20 minutes walk. There are not a lot to do around, but it was easy to take the train to Nara and Kyoto. I loved the hostel, it had everything I need. It has a restaurant in the first floor. They do sell snacks/food in the reception. I recommend staying here if you like the countryside vibes.

It’s a good place to live many days, if you want to stay with Kyoto, here is more quieter and easy going to walk the north of temples. And masa is very nice and friendly, if you have any questions.

Guesthouse récente bien placée, proche de la gare, les instructions d’entrée et de sortie étaient claires !
