Holiday rentals with a hot tub in KwaZulu-Natal

Granny Futhi is an amazing host she's readily available for any questions or requests, her responses and instructions are swift and clear. Her house is beautiful and clean, in a peaceful area. My family and I enjoyed our stay. I highly recommend it if you're looking for a place in Eshowe.

I cannot say enough positive things about my experience staying here. Nikki and Tom went above and beyond as air b&b hosts and truly made my experience amazing. When I landed in Durban, they picked me up from the airport and after learning that my luggage was stuck in Joburg, they took me to the store so that I could get some toiletries and food for the day. They were so patient and warm in every interaction that I had with them. When we lost water, they brought me a 5 liter jug and were extremely communicative any time we lost water or electricity. I was in Durban for two months and struggled to find people to travel with and they literally adopted me most weekends to hang out with them at their beach club. Regarding the air bnb itself, it was the perfect size for me. It is in the safest neighborhood with great restaurants and a bakery within walking distance! There's fiber internet and a washing machine. Loved this little cottage, love Nikki and Tom, and love Durban!!

A lovely garden cottage, only 5min drive from the beach. Very peaceful and extremely clean! Loved my stay and would highly recommend it for solo travellers and couples. Thank you Oscar.

The house is stunning and the location is amazing. It is however very hot with no aircon for summer and there was no fan in the room with the bunks. I would take a standing fan if I went again. Overall it’s a lovely home and I would book again

This is an excellent house in an excellent location of the northern KZN coast. Beach is a small stroll away and the house is designed in a very functional way, with a big common area but very private bedrooms. One of my best finds on AirBnB.

We had never stayed in an Airbnb property before and so had no idea what to expect. However, The Lilypad surpassed anything we could have imagined. The house itself was beautiful and much bigger than it seemed in the photos and Derrick and Margi are the perfect hosts. The house is spacious and very well equipped. Even the monkeys turned up to watch us eating lunch in the garden one day. It was like a wildlife documentary in reverse! We could not believe their generosity in taking our children to the airport at 5.30am after we left! If all Airbnb properties and hosts are all like this then we are hooked. I don't think any review I write could accurate convey what a SPECTACULAR property this is. Stunning scenery, animal sightings from the house and poolside, great recommendations for local activities (Do the incredible elephant interaction!), game drives, the spotless house and rooms and your EVERY need catered for. Then there is the staff that went above and beyond. So warm and welcoming, proactive and professional. Jubs, Li, Zi, and Sipho made us feel like family. I cannot express just how well they took care of our every need and the fun we all had. We will be back!

This place is ideal for large groups, offering more than enough space for everyone to enjoy their time together. Despite being big enough for a crowd, it’s designed in such a way that there’s still plenty of room for some well-needed “me time.” Whether you’re looking for socializing or solitude, you’ll find a perfect balance here. The setting is beautiful, and the atmosphere is both relaxed and welcoming. I highly recommend it for anyone planning a group getaway, as it caters to both shared experiences and personal moments!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Frances was always available to answer any questions or resolves any issues we have. The house clean and spacious, it beautifully located, our children loved the pool and the jacuzzi. The short walks to the beach in the mornings were my absolute favourite. I would highly recommend getting aircons as it does get extremely hot and humid in the house which creates a moist feeling and scent in the house. The staff were hands on. The children fell in love with Nonku and would often times help her out to and they were sad when it was time to leave Ozzie was helpful in showing us around and when we had issues he attended to them.

What a beautiful place this is. We were sad to go and are looking forward to be able to return. A beautiful setting that resembles something out of a magazine. The perfect place for some down time.

This is a really lovely location, with great view of the Tugela River and the Colenso hills. Very peaceful and comfortable stay and an extremely well-equipped kitchen! The farm milk is a perfect extra touch. Just be aware that the last few kilometres are over extremely poor roads so avoid driving there during darkness.

This was a great lodge to stay at if you plan to do the Sani Pass. Not only was it a mere 45 minutes away, but it also had a lot of different activities to offer for the days before / after your Sani Pass drive (boats, fishing, horseback-riding, and a beautiful landscape to explore). The cabin itself had a hot tub, wonderful fireplace, and well-stocked kitchen. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!
