Our little family had the best few days at Lyn’s place. It’s so beautiful, peaceful and quiet! Perfect if you have a difficult little 1 year old sleeper like I do. The fact that the beach is so close is amazing. We loved getting coffee at the little coffee shop on the street right around the corner when we went for our morning walks. Also no need to drive anywhere as the shops snd restaurants are just around the corner. Lyn and Steve were the cherry on top. They were amazing hosts and made us feel right at home! Oh and let me not forget Rocky Road and Picklesticks.. who helped this doggy mom miss her babies at home a little less.

We enjoy our stay very much. Very good value and the place was neat and clean. Everything you need for vacation is available in holiday flat. Some items is more that is nice to know there is enough. Host is very friendly and let us feel at home. We will definitely come again

We had a great stay at Alize Beach Cottage. This pet-friendly stay was the perfect spot with our pups. The property was comfortable, and just steps from the beach. Our dogs loved the early morning beach walks to watch the sunrise with miles of unspoilt beach to ourselves. Annaleen and Howard were responsive and welcoming, providing us with all the info we needed to make the most of our stay. The neighborhood was quiet and safe and the hosts shared all the local hangouts and hiddem gems to visit. We'd highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing beach vacation with their pets. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Ailsa & Mark are fantastic hosts. Their place was easy to find in the cul-de-sac. Both were very friendly, warm & welcoming. Great suggestions about where to eat & visit, made the stay even more enjoyable with the itinerary I had already planned. This was a surprise birthday trip for my wife & she absolutely loved it. Gas appliances were readily provided due to unexpected power outages. Homemade cookies were a lovely touch. Mark made us aware of the River Conservancy close by and we enjoyed a lovely walk and visit to the conservancy. Ailsa made us aware of the Woodstone Restaurant and we had an out-of-this-world meal experience there. What a great suggestion! Ailsa would check in on us daily to make sure we were comfortable or if we needed anything, and really she didn't need to because our every need had been taken care of by her already, just in the way she had already prepared for our stay. We had a lovely long chat before our departure and we felt so at home during our stay!

Excellent value for money. Very homely environment with beautiful country feel. Accomodation is very private with own access and onsite parking. Would definitely stay again.

Everything was clean and neat and stylish. The studio provided a much-needed solace during a sad visit to Durban. Jess, the owner, went out of her way to make us feel at home. A highlight of our stay was her cat Burndale's twice-daily walkabout in the studio: just checking that we were okay! Being cat people, we loved that. The studio is not a big space, but it had everything we needed and we'd definitely stay here again.

I had the best stay at Megan & Richard's. The cottage is beautifully appointed, private and peaceful. What I appreciated most was being able to keep windows and doors open in the knowledge I was completely safe due to the high security. Spud, the resident dog, is delightful and I'm going to miss his antics. Don't hesitate in booking this wonderful place.

Hard to beat the Palmiet Retreat! What really makes it exceptional, well, besides the excellent space, and so on...the people really do care and love what they do and ensure to make you feel as happy as possible!

Sarah's home is beautiful, very clean and secure. We really enjoyed our stay, with our 2 dogs. The surroundings are stunning and the atmosphere is peaceful. This really is a hidden gem. Sarah was a great host and we felt right at home.

Kim was a wonderful host—warm, kind, and genuinely thoughtful. She made my first visit to Pietermaritzburg a memorable one. From our friendly chats to her consistent check-ins, I felt truly cared for. She even celebrated my debut in the Comrades Marathon with me and had a comforting cup of tea ready when I got back—such a thoughtful gesture! Kim went above and beyond by offering to take me to the race start line as well. The home is in a peaceful, tree-lined neighborhood just five minutes from the airport, making it incredibly convenient. It had all the basic amenities I needed for a comfortable short stay and was excellent value for money. I’d definitely love to come back!

Jannes place is was perfect for myself and my 4 legged companion. We both felt right at home immediately and Janne was quite quick with responses with the very minor questions I had. Jannes place is definitely something to book if you are looking for a quiet, beautiful, well kept space. Definitely keeping this listing on a short list for future Durban visits. Had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful spot over the weekend, and it was truly an amazing experience. The place was immaculate, spacious, and thoughtfully prepared – from teas, coffee, and milk to cutlery and crockery, everything we needed was right there. It genuinely felt like a home away from home from the moment we walked in. There was always hot water (which we really appreciated!), and the cherry on top was the stunning ocean view right from our window – absolutely breathtaking. Penn and Vern were such gracious and welcoming hosts. They went out of their way to accommodate us and made our stay extra special. Highly recommend this gem – we’ll definitely be back!

Teresa made staying in her place so easy and so comfortable. She was always on hand but not intrusive, so I could just get on with things. A great location, easy access and everything that I needed for a one person stay with an outstanding view of the sea :)

It’s always a pleasure to stay at Orchard Manor. If you’re an animal and nature lover this place will not disappoint. We were accompanied by two very friendly cats, briefly greeted by a herd of Zebra and always surrounded by stunning views of the mountains.

What a wonderful host and place to stay. Made our Comrades marathon experience an even better one. Lynne welcomed us and made us feel at home. Ensured we had everything we needed and went out of her way to ensure our Comrades marathon went really well. Did so much more than expected. We will be back next year. What a 5 star experience!

The Rose Garden Cottage comes highly recommended! I stayed there a whole week and found it to be so comfortable and pleasant. The unit is so neat and clean and has a fully equipped kitchen. There is a lovely garden overlooking the mountain. David and Gill are such generous and welcoming hosts and went above and beyond to make the stay enjoyable and memorable!
