Holiday rentals with breakfast in Kumejima, Shimajiri District

Eiko's room was a very comfortable two days at home! Breakfast is very good before the morning activity as it has a lot of volume. The room is a Japanese-style room right next to the entrance. There is a tea service in the small refrigerator and amenities such as instant coffee next to the kettle. I talked about wanting to use the washing machine, and Eiko-san washed it and handed it to me dry by breakfast! There was also a simple shoe dryer, which was very helpful! Close to trekking and canoeing activities in Yanbaru. It is about 20 minutes by car to Nago City and 40-50 minutes to Churaumi Aquarium. I think it's good to go back to this room after dinner somewhere!

Had a really good time at Hidemi-san's place. We felt more than welcome. We stayed there for 5 days and we lacked nothing. Every morning, Hidemi-san provided a very extensive and varied breakfast. The best breakfast we had while on vacation in Japan. Hidemi-san is very welcoming... it feels like coming home with her. She is so sweet and caring🙂 If we ever come back to Okinawa, we will definitely stay with her again.

The B&B has convenient transportation. You can walk to Zakimi Castle and Ceramic Street. You can take a bus to Cape Zanpa. It's convenient to take a bus. The station is very close. You can walk there. The supermarket is within walking distance. There are free bicycles, a kitchen to cook, a music traveler's homestay, the owner is a music enthusiast, he can play the erhu, and can teach you how to play the erhu for free. The Host is willing to help, makes a different breakfast every day, and when I arrived and left, the station was far from the residence, the Host drove me for free, and helped me buy a sanxian.

It was a very good atmosphere and a nice building, interior, and garden. The host family was also very friendly and had a wonderful time.

Kaz's home was the perfect spot for our party of 8. We felt right at home and could walk to the train station or Kokusaidoori for lots of eating and shopping options. The neighborhood was quiet and beautiful and Kaz was an excellent host. When we return to Okinawa we will definitely check Kaz's home first for availability!

We spent over a week with Francesco and it was a great stay. Francesco knows the island well and had good advice where to do some snorkeling and surfing. His surf and snorkeling equipment is in a good condition. When we needed some help with renting a car, he was very encouraging and helped us a lot. Totally recommended if you want to spent your days in Okinawa with some water activities. Cheers Hannah & Paul

Kaz’s place will always be our minshuku when we come to Naha! Great location for walking or Yui rail or bus or parking a rented car. Kaz puts a great B for Breakfast and a comfortable B for Bed in an AirBnB stay. Extremely good value, hosting, and Okinawan style experience.

Ryo & Akiko are the most ideal host that you'd like to have - warm, fun, and helpful. They are genuinely curious about who you are and where you're from and have a lot of empathy, love and inner peace, which I treasure a lot. Ryo's English is too good to be Japanese lol, super communicative yet respectful. Akiko is so sweet and caring. I appreciate her food and all of our conversations :) Also they have the calmest dog ever - she's adorable and likes human massage. If you are looking for genuine human interaction rather doing all the touristy thing, it's a good idea to slow down and spend some time here just to feel at home.

A Soul-Soothing Stay Surrounded by Nature We spent a truly enriching week at Sumiko’s house, nestled in the peaceful nature of Motobu. At night, we fell asleep to the sound of frogs and insects, and each morning I woke up to birdsong. It was the perfect escape, where time seemed to slow down and the stresses of everyday life gently faded away. One of the absolute highlights was the breakfast that Sumiko prepared every morning. Made with seasonal/local ingredients and so full of care, each dish was comforting and delicious—it quickly became something we looked forward to every day. The room was spotlessly clean and cozy, and every little detail showed thoughtfulness and hospitality. I felt at home the moment I arrived. If I ever return to Okinawa, I will definitely stay here again. Thank you so much, Sumiko, for such a memorable and restorative stay!

Thank you for your willingness to accommodate this unexpected stay! I was surprised because there was breakfast again! It was a very comfortable and nice space, so I wish I had the opportunity to talk to the host when I had more time to spare! Recommended for those who plan to stay in Naha!
