Holiday rentals with a kayak in Kootenay Lake

We stayed at Kim's cabin over Christmas and it was a great choice. The cosy, wooden interior, the log fireplace, and the moody views across the lake really made it a special stay. The open layout of the main living area makes for a great group hang-out space. - the well stocked kitchen overlooks the living space, with an island with stools in-between - perfect for laying out spreads for people to graze! The dining area to the side, while removed slightly from the main area, is still very open and holding conversations between the 3 areas was seamless We only used the 2 downstairs bedrooms and the furnishings were good and in-keeping with the cosy and rustic feel. We made use of both the sauna and jacuzzi tub, and both worked well. As a group of just 4 we fit very comfortably, but even with 6 I feel there'd be plenty of room to hang out together, or spread out and have your own space if you wanted. Overall a very comfortable property than captures the warm vibe of the Kootenays.

Kat and Mike were amazing hosts. They went over and above to spoil us with local snacks, drinks and preferences that we enjoy at home. They communicated clearly, promptly and concisely. The kitchen had everything we needed, including a fabulous BBQ that cooked the steaks better then I can at home. We loved how much thought was put into the little details, like extra comfortable blankets and pillows, games, bug spray, kids beach toys, and enough lawn chairs for our large family as well as enough water toys to allow us to explore the lake together. Lastly the book with local recommendations was very helpful giving us lots of information on what we could, see, explore and eat in and around the area.

This property might be the best Airbnb we've ever stayed at. Words cannot describe how beautiful Angels home was, the property, the surroundings, and the incredible views and peacefulness of Heaven! Honestly, I didn't want to leave!!! My wife and I had the most incredible vacation, and thanks to Angels warm and inviting hospitality we will return to visit again and again. The property has everything you could ask for and need, all you have to do is show up and start relaxing and enjoying the beauty of Heaven! Angel was so awesome as a host and friend, she is always available and helpful with your questions and needs. We already miss Angel and Heaven,,,,,,,,, thank you so much!!

Clean and private property. Lovely view, close to main town and a comfortable place to relax and unwind. Ilse was responsive and was ready and happy to assist us with any questions or concerns we had.

The perfect lakefront escape! This cabin is the jackpot—a private beach, all the nature & cabin vibes, and enough space to fit my modern family of five plus our two fur babies. The cabin is spacious, comfy, quirky layout and everything you could possibly need from games, kitchen wear to towels & more. Great communication with Craig, easy to get into. If you’re craving a secluded, serene spot by the lake, this is it.

Great place to stay. Lots of character and peaceful surroundings. I really appreciated the infrared sauna on a stormy evening. There was plenty of ways to be self-entertained: lots of interesting things around the house, TV, beach in a walking distance, and a few hikes around. Stan was extremely knowledgeable and responsive.

We spent three days at this stunning lakeside house, enjoying the natural beauty and complete peace & solitude. Given the warm, sunny late April weather, we were able to take advantage of the outside dining table, lovely sitting areas, and the hot tub. Pure bliss! Inside, the decor is very tasteful, the beds & sofa are super comfy, and the kitchen is well equipped. We all agreed that we will be back!!

We spent one night on the first leg of a road trip. Arlene and Earl’s had everything you could ask for in an RV. When we arrived we hopped in a kayak and went for a paddle. We were the only ones on the water so it was very peaceful! There is another cabin for rent and another being built on site (as noted in the listing!) so be mindful if you want complete privacy, as they are in close proximity. There were two people staying in the cabin while we were there and we weren’t bothered at all. Advice: make sure to screenshot the directions and pictures before travelling! We didn’t have service and Google maps lead us to the neighbour’s place. Thanks Arlene and Earl, it was a quick but great stop 😊
