We have carefully renovated a 40-year-old traditional house, preserving the original beams and windows, and created a space where you can relax with family and friends. Outside the window, there is a traditional Japanese landscape of rice fields and mountains. You can enjoy the scenery that changes with the seasons from the living room and sunroom. The accommodation can accommodate up to 6 people. We also provide baby chairs, baby baths, baby futons, toys, and more to ensure that families with small children can also enjoy a comfortable stay. There is also an open kitchen with a dishwasher, a garden deck where you can have a BBQ, and a cypress bath. It is about 40 minutes by car from Kochi Airport, with easy access from Kochi Station, and is a convenient location as a base for travelling around Shikoku. The main house and the sleeping area (a barn where indigo was stored) have been demolished due to aging, but the historic living room and garden have been preserved to allow guests to experience a little bit of that time, and it is used as a farmhouse inn. In the old days, "Indigofera" grew on the fertile land of the Yoshino River basin in Tokushima Prefecture, bringing great wealth to Tokushima Prefecture (Awa Province). Ancient documents on indigo, including cultural properties, are also available for viewing. Firewood isn't available from May as it will be warmer.
