Cottage holiday rentals in Kitty Hawk

We loved this place! Great vibe, clean, came with two bikes that we enjoyed riding to the sound and back (as well as Front Porch Coffee). The hot tub was amazing and relaxing. Notable that the bathroom downstairs has its own entrance that is not connected to the bedroom down there. Hosts were very responsive and helpful. Would stay at this house again and highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a cute little oasis that is very centrally located.

Very secluded and peaceful. Wish the weather had been better throughout our stay but it was very nice to wake up to the sound of the waves and nature. I will say if you have a toddler to make sure to take a safety gate. He made it a challenge wanting to climb the stairs so we went out to buy some for our stay. WiFi is spotty (which is a good thing) but I didn’t realize none of my messages were sent until this morning. My husband and son enjoyed some fishing and caught a few stingrays. I would love to go back later in the year.

We love staying at Donald’s Duck! This was our second stay and we think this place is just so cute and cozy. Our favorite place is the beautifully lit pool area. It’s a short walk to the beach. The indoor space is beautiful and clean. Mark is a very responsive and helpful host! We love the proximity to the shops and restaurants.

Donny’s place was everything that we needed in a vacation spot. The location was perfect! The home was very clean, comfortable, and relaxing. We felt right at home. My family and I enjoyed going fishing in the early morning, beach after fishing, and the afternoons were spent playing volleyball and relaxing by the pool. Donny responded quickly when we needed to address any issues. We will definitely keep Donny’s place in mind when we plan another trip to the OBX!

Kendra and the Seahorse Shanty are truly better than described. Kendra is phenomenal, incredibly quick to respond and more than kind. The location is just a couple of minutes walk from the beach and the grocery store, pairing that with how clean and well appointed the cottage is - it’s more than an exceptional find! If possible, I’d give a 10/5!!

We had a wonderful stay in Kitty Hawk. Mark and Billy’s place was accurately described, in a fantastic location close to the beach. The place had everything we needed to cook full meals and have a blast. We would definitely recommend their place to anyone in the OBX area!

We had a great time at the Vitamin Sea house. Paul was very responsive and helpful. The location was perfect for our group of 10. Lots of activities and supplies to entertain. We created everlasting memories here and we’re grateful for it.

We had such an amazing time here! She was quick to respond and the place was beautiful! The backyard was perfect for our toddler to play in and I really appreciated that there was a baby gate for upstairs. We will definitely be coming back!

My family enjoyed the space. It was exactly what we were looking for. It was very clean and gave us a great place to rest or escape the sun. The host had beach chairs and toys in the garage which was a nice surprise. Also between communications over the app and the house book we never had to worry about local recommendations. It was a slam dunk for us!

We greatly enjoyed our weekend stay at the bungalow. Michael was extremely helpful and communicated leading up and during our stay. The screened in porch was our favorite part, it was the perfect spot to relax even when it rained since you could still enjoy being outside. We would highly recommend this place, we had an amazing weekend!

We had an amazing time! The house was incredible and so close to the beach. It was also extremely clean! We will definitely be back - loved how close the house was to everything, especially the coffee shop!

As a family group of 7 people with 5 adults and 2 children we loved how spacious Second Wind was - allowing for together time and private time. I love the H-shaped floor plan: large open concept space in the center flanked by 2 bedrooms and a bath to each side - plus the bonus of a larger bedroom on each side). There were also areas to spread out and have a bit of “space” for smaller endeavors. While we didn’t have time for it I appreciated that the backyard would be great to use the badminton game I brought. It was close to the beach, the beds were comfortable, nice cookware in the kitchen, thoughtful details (provided coffee, charcoal, throw blankets, plenty of dishes and cutlery, a laundry room with a drying rack, the opportunity to bring our dog ). Our host Jane was very responsive and accommodating. Everyone said at some point, and some multiple times, how much we liked it and would definitely like to come back!

Just a few steps from the beach, this place was the PERFECT stay for our little group. Four adults, a toddler, an infant, and a dog all stayed and we weren’t over crowded at all. The tile floors make clean up super easy and it’s within walking distance of multiple restaurants. We would love to stay here again on our next trip!

Great location, only a five minute walk to the beach and you can hear the waves while sitting on the top deck. The house had everything we needed. It was perfectly decorated and very comfortable for lounging after the day's adventures. The fenced in back yard was perfect for our family with dogs, and included a picnic table next to the grill which was perfect for seafood eating. Bikes were great and many other beach necessities for the summer months. Brian provided very detailed instructions and suggestions for restaurants and more. Great place!

Beautiful location on a quiet dead end street! Just a short walk to the beach all while being surrounded by other wildlife (deer, bunnies, turtles). It’s the best of both worlds! The area is perfect. Not too crowded but if you want to shop or eat, everything is just a short drive away. The kitchen cookware, stove and beach chairs could use updating but definitely not a reason to not stay here. We will definitely be back as our family and pup had a great time! Host was very responsive and friendly!

Sarah was a great and responsive host and the location was absolutely beautiful, a nice private beach across the street, this stay at Sarahs helped make our trip as phenomenal as it was.

This beach house was everything we hoped for and more! It was the perfect spot for our girls’ trip bright, airy, and super clean, with plenty of space for all of us to relax and hang out. We loved the open layout. The sunsets from the patio were unforgettable! The host went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, and even left us a sweet welcome note.

This is my second time staying at one of Michaela’s properties & we will plan to again! She is an excellent host who puts so much care in to every detail. Just when you think you may have forgotten something handy, she already has it stocked for you to make things easy (beach gear, chip bag clips, ziplocks… these little things that other Airbnbs just don’t take the care to have on hand). Not only was the house exceptionally clean, she also had little touches like stocking the den with games and children’s books by a local author/illustrator which our son loved! Her recommendations were great and allowed us to enjoy OBX without any need for pre-planning. Michaela is a responsive, thoughtful, and kind host and we are thrilled to have spent another summer at one of her spots.

The cutest house to stay in! It was so nice and up to date, also very open with high ceilings which I loved! It was perfect for my husband, 2 kids and mother and father in law to stay in. Obviously it’s not on the beach(which it states), but it is not far! We loved it and would stay again! It is right off the main strip so it’s near a bunch of restaurants, grocery stores etc. we would stay again! Thanks for hosting us!

Lynette and Tom were wonderful hosts and Crews Cottage is beautiful! Bright and immaculate, roomy and welcoming . . . it was the perfect spot to land in between activities for a wedding in Manteo. Will definitely be back in the future with more time to explore . . . Thank you ever so much!

Super quiet and peaceful location. We wanted an area without all the typical commercial development and high rise condos and Duck perfectly fit the bill! (No pun intended). A fairly easy bike ride to all the Duck restaurants and shopping. Beach was great and not crowded at all. We really enjoyed the house and the host was great in every aspect. My only suggestion would be to upgrade the porch furniture as that’s a nice area to sit and relax. You can clearly hear the waves crashing onto the beach. Hope we can visit again!

The Seahorse Cottage was an amazing place to stay. It supplied everything you needed for the beach. The back yard area was beautiful and perfect for your warm weather night. The pool was fenced in separately from the back yard which gave us a peace of mind for having kids around. The decorations, cleanliness, and house supplies were everything you needed for the perfect beach get away. The distance to the closest public beach access was close enough to walk to everyday for some seashell hunting or to walk over quickly in the morning to catch the sunrise. We also enjoyed the games and puzzles supplied to keep us busy on rainy days. Overall, I was very impressed with Lisa, her responsiveness and kindness, the house, and its amenities. I would recommend this house to everyone I know!

We had a great time at Nonna's Place. One house from the beach, and a perfect beach at that, not crowded at all. The cute no frills house is exactly what we were looking for. We had everything we needed and Shelly even checked on us 😁. There were some loud power tool using workers in the house next door, they started at 8:30 am! Not a big deal for us, it was checkout day anyway. I would get this house again with no hesitation!!!

We loved this place & it was exactly as it was listed/advertised! The Decor was modern coastal/surf vibe! Adorable! It was Great for kids & Adults also. There is a lot to do surrounding! Quick walk to beach! Awesome pool with outdoor shower. We were so happy with our stay! We highly recommend! Would go back. Any questions we had Vivian was very quick with a helpful kind response. Thank you! Very happy! We did not want to leave.
