The cottage has electric heating, a wood stove and a fireplace. The sauna is heated with wood, which is also located in the same building. Access to the sauna is via the terrace. Water for the sauna is collected from the river with buckets and heated with wood in the sauna pad. The property has a very clean outdoor toilet with no heating. Ice hole in the river open in winter.

The atmosphere of a log cabin on the shores of the Kitisenjoki River, just 2 km from the center of Sodankylä. Sleeping accommodations for five. There is a log cabin sauna with a wood-fired hot tub and a renovated terrace, which also has an open fire for barbecuing. In front of the sauna, there is a new jetty from which you can access the river to refresh yourself. Possibility to rent various kayaks, canoes and SUP boards. We also organize guided canoeing and guidance on the basics of canoeing.

Villa Vihtori is a modern 90 m² log house. The ground floor features a living room, kitchen, two bedrooms with combinable beds, an always-ready sauna, and two toilets. Upstairs, there is a loft with a 120 cm wide bed. The house also includes a glass-covered terrace. A separate studio building offers a room/80-140 cm bed, one toilet and a small kitchen. The villa offers snowshoes guests to use free of charge during their stay. Also, there's spinning lean-to that can be turned towards the sun.

There is hut in the yard, where you can enjoy your time by the open fire with coffee and self-made pancakes while admiring the starry sky and possible northern lights. There are 70km of cross country ski trails, snowmobile trails pass by, and we organise fishing and ice fishing in the nearby river. You can also rent snowshoes and electric bikes to make your holiday even more perfect.

Private log cabin in the middle of Finnish nature

Almost a hundred years old log cabin that's been renovated to fit some modern needs. The cabin consists of a large kitchen/living room area and two bedroom which both have beds for two people. Couch in the living room can also be turned into a double bed. There is an indoor dry toilet, also outside toilet. The cabin does have electricity and is equipped with e.g. tv and a microwave. There is both a gas stove and a wood-burning stove. I will bring 50 liters of water in prepared containers.
