Holiday rentals with lake access in Kernville

Although I've stayed in several Airbnb's, it's always been with a group. This was my first time being the renter and I couldn't have picked a better situation to be my first. John was honestly awesome. To start, he's very selective on who he rents to. He took time to understand the purpose of my trip to ensure that his property was a good fit. John provided step by step detail to ensure we had a smooth transition into the property. The property was 100% as described. Very close to Kernville which included restaurants, grocery stores and tourism options. Quiet neighborhood, extremely close to the beautiful Lake Isabella! During my stay John was extremely attentive and responsive to text messages and phone calls. He even arranged for maid service mid stay while we were out of town. It's safe to say that John went above and beyond our expectations as a host. He's truly a superhost. And someone I plan on staying in contact with as a friend. Thank you for an amazing experience John!

This is our 3rd stay here and we keep coming back because we always have a wonderful time. The view from balcony is gorgeous and you are just a short drive to Kernville. We also appreciate how clean the place is and the amenities to make the stay more comfortable like extra blankets, the patio fire pit, and kitchen ware.

We stayed here for the annual Whisky Flats celebration, and the location was perfect! About 2 miles from the heart of Kernville. The home is beautiful, comfortable, and the view from the back deck is gorgeous! The lake below is within walking distance, but beware that if you're not used to hiking, it might be a little work. I was able to go up and down, no problem! It's great for a big family and plenty of space to hang out and enjoy the scenery from the home. You're within minutes of restaurants, stores, and outdoor activities. I highly recommend!

This property has special meaning because it once belonged to our family. Katie and her family provide all the modern amenities in a comfortable country setting. We went to legendary local restaurant Ewing's for Valentine's Day dinner, but we enjoyed the rest of our meals here. We went hiking to the edge of Lake Isabella and mostly hung out at the house. Sitting on the front porch with a glass of wine while the breeze blows gently through the pines is the ultimate relaxation, which you can repeat with a cup of coffee as the morning sun peeks onto the porch and cuts the morning chill just enough. This house can sleep 6, which we've done, but two couples is perfect. It is also a wonderful wedding venue with a concrete dance floor and the Bunkhouse Bar available. Looking for country comfort? Come to RFB Lakehouse. We'll be back.

We had a wonderful stay! It was very clean and conveniently located. It had beautiful views and was very quiet

Johnny’s place was perfect. It is clean, in such convenient location, fenced in yards which was so much fun for the dogs. Johnny left so many good recommendations and we ended up going to a few of the spots on the list and it was well worth it! When I come back I will look up this place to stay first.

This property was an amazing space for my friends and I to enjoy the lake! I think it's the best spot in the entire area to relax and enjoy all that the lake has to offer. Deborah was extremely helpful and kind! We will definitely be coming back here soon.

Paul’s cabin was just what we needed to getaway from the city life. My son was able to relax and get a great sense of “slowing down” with his family. My sisters and I have already spoken about returning to the cabin very soon for a nature reset. The cabin felt like home as soon as you walk-in. There was firewood ready to burn, and all of the amenities we needed for a perfect weekend escape.

This spot is great for big groups, as we had 5 rooms our family could split, and an option for more rooms at additional cost (access to lodge bathroom with rental of 1+ of these added rooms). Each hotel-style room had its own bathroom with shower. Kitchen was stocked with most everything we needed to use to make meals, and there is a charcoal BBQ for use as well. There is a small park walking distance as well as a general market for last minute supplies, or you can drive a bit further for more options. We had a great time and are looking forward to our next visit!
