The Alpaca Lodge is a free standing stone building next to our farmhouse in a rural location (16km from Kenmare), surrounded by our herd of friendly free-roaming alpacas and llamas, with stunning views of Kenmare Bay. It has a cozy bedroom with a king-size bed, a small seating area and en-suite bathroom. Cereal, milk, porridge, orange juice, cereal bars and biscuits are provided in the room, and there is a kettle, tea and coffee, cutlery and plates etc., a microwave, toaster and a small fridge.

Io e mio marito abbiamo soggiornato nell’alloggio di Frances per una notte e ci siamo trovati benissimo. L’alloggio si trova in posizione centrale a due passi da un’ampio parcheggio. La caffetteria accanto offre un’ottima colazione e ci sono diversi pub con musica live dove passare una piacevole serata. Frances è stata chiara nel fornirci tutte le informazioni. Super consigliato

Kenmare was the highlight of our driving holiday, and the accommodation was perfect. Great value. Situated above a shop at the end of one of the two main streets it was rustic and gave a great feel for the area we were in. All the shops and restaurants were close by and Kenmare itself was the perfect place to explore the surrounding area. I will probably never be back there (living half a world away) but if I was I would love to stay there again. Thank you!

Unsere Zeit, die wir bei Maggie & Paddy verbringen durften war von Anfang an sehr sehr schön und angenehm. Freundliche Kommunikation direkt ab der Buchung und wir bekamen vorab schon ganz viele hilfreiche und interessante Tips. Als wir ankamen wurden wir persönlich begrüßt. Maggie hat für uns ein Brot gebacken und uns ein paar Dinge für ein leckeres Frühstück für unsere Zeit im Cottage bereit gestellt. Das fanden wir sehr aufmerksam und super lieb. Als es am nächsten Tag stark regnete und kalt wurde fragte sie, ob sie unseren Kamin für uns anmachen soll damit es bei unserer Rpckkehr warm im Cottage ist. Auch das haben wir sehr positiv, sehr aufmerksam und vorallem sehr freundlich empfunden. Alles in allem haben wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt und können absolut empfehlen, hier zu buchen und die Ruhe und die Abgeschiedenheit in dieser wundervollen Gegend zu genießen! Wir würden wieder buchen und würden gerne wieder zurück kommen.

We has a wonderful stay in Carmel’s house in Kenmare. The house was perfect, very well equipped and the location was super. Bean and Batch Cafe a few doors up has great coffee, breakfast and sandwiches. We also received some excellent restaurant recommendations from Carmel. We would be delighted to stay here again in the future. Thanks Carmel.

We had a wonderful stay at this cozy home in Killarney! The house had absolutely everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing getaway. Mary was a fantastic host—so welcoming and thoughtful. She greeted us with fresh eggs, biscuits, and butter, and was always quick to respond if we needed anything. One of the highlights was the private sauna, which Mary kindly prepped for us every day—such a treat after a day of exploring! The views from the property were absolutely spectacular, and the location was perfect: peaceful and scenic, yet only about 15 minutes from the town center. Highly recommend this lovely spot to anyone visiting the area!

This exceeded our expectations by a long way. Our host was very friendly and helpful. We both had really good nights sleep as it so peaceful. Also it is in easy driving distance of the coast, tourist attractions in and around the National Park, pubs, cafes, restaurants, shops etc. Our host provided an excellent file of brochures, maps etc. Finally, the property had everything in it you could possible need for your stay ..kitchen was well stocked, lots of towels etc, very comfortable beds, great WiFi, wide range of TV channels including Netflix, YouTube etc. Can't recommend it enough.
