This village house was completely renovated on a 1800s structure to a comfortable, elegant private and quite space to truly relax and regain powers. The huge garden with all kind of trees is ideal for relaxing and admiring nature in your own proximity while you relax do some work or just read your book. The amazing beaches and landscapes of paleokastrttsa is just five minutes away by car or motorbike. Located on the beautiful traditional village of Doukades there are numerous hikes within reach.

Newly renovated village house

This house is located in the colorful and picturesque mountain village of Doukades. It is almost 150 years old, but due to a recent renovation it has all modern comfort, light and space. Nearby you will find the lively village square, several restaurants and idyllic hiking trails. A little further are the most beautiful beaches. The house is ideal for families, remote workers, couples or close friends who enjoy nature and want to explore Corfu in an authentic way, away from mass tourism.

Το σπίτι μας βρίσκεται σε ένα ηλιόλουστο αγρόκτημα, περιτριγυρισμένο από ελαιόδεντρα, στο γραφικό χωριό των Δουκάδων. Σε απάσταση 17χιλ από το κέντρο της Κέρκυρας και μόλις 4χιλ από την Παλαιοκαστρίτσα και 2χιλ από τις παραλίες των Λιαπάδων! Η σταση λεωφορείου απέχει μόλις 200μ ενώ στα 700μ μπορείτε να βρείτε φαρμακεία, σούπερ μάρκετ, βενζινάδικα, πλυντήριο ρούχων, καφετεριες, ταβέρνες και άλλα. Ο χώρος μας είναι φιλόξενος, ασφαλές και ιδανικός για όσους αγαπούν τη φύση!

The narrow pathway leads on. It divides, widens and continues on to an impressive A-frame at the edge of the estate. Everything is more spacious. The loft bedroom, the kitchen, the shower bathroom and the living room area. The wood burning stove is the “icing on the cake” for a winter stay. The outdoor setting in the remote woods will enchant you! Please note that this house is not suitable for children under 6 years old.

The house and the host Angela were both wonderful! The Airbnb was exactly as we pictured. The area, Palaiokastritsa, is also amazing. Two beautiful beaches and a monastery within walking distance, a few good restaurants right by the Airbnb, and the views in town are breathtaking. Also I would highly recommend taking Angela up on the complimentary boat ride. We did a half day out on the water by ourselves and it was perfect. We went to some caves and secluded beaches, had fun swimming, and the boat was easy to figure out and drive. Well worth it.

The place is fantastic, but the host it was amazing. Personally this was the best experience I had ever have with an accomodation. The host let us enough water for the whole week, coffee and milk, bread, cheese and meat to make breakfast every day, even butter , jam and other sweets. The house looks brand new and everything works properlly. It was a pleasure to be guests at this accomodation.

Maria's house is located in a small mountain village and is integrated into the local development. The accessibility is given via a number of slopes, decreases and narrow curves by car. The location is good and it is nice to sit on the terrace and greet the neighbors passing by. Particularly nice is the contact with Maria's mother, who takes care of the welcome, check-in and check-out and also occasionally ensures the physical well-being (welcome cake, drinks, barbeque and vegetables. (Thank you again for that!) The house is, as described, well equipped, ideally suited for self-catering and nothing was missing. I felt very comfortable and enjoyed the tranquility away from the tourist crowds. I would be happy to recommend Maria's accommodation (and the surroundings) - it is simple, very nice and very different from the touristy places. Too bad there is no Wi-Fi in the house. Dear Maria, Thank you very much!
