This is the Mase Coast in Nishikan Ward, Niigata City (formerly Makimachi) 25 minutes by car from Makikata IC on the Hokuriku Expressway, 35 minutes from Sanjo-En IC. The horizon of Echigo Nanaura spreads out below. Take a morning walk on the beach with no one else around. A hiking course that looks like it came out of a Ghibli movie. The renovation was attended by Studio Sayapu led by Mr. Kitazawa, an artist based in Nagano.Focusing on Mr. Kitazawa's sensibilities, the company's craftsmen brought out the power of the old private house and finished it into a space that quietly accommodates sophistication while making use of the taste. It is cool in summer and in winter you can enjoy skiing and snow scenes.While surrounded by nature, time passes as you gently prepare yourself. Enjoy the wood stove sauna and the water bath with a view. There are no private houses around, so you can listen to music and watch movies loudly. Because it is a house located deep in the mountains, we take the best measures, but in the warm season, insects come out. It snows a lot in winter. In autumn, fallen leaves dance. You will also need to adjust the wood stove fire yourself. It's not an easy house to live in, but we promise you a great view and experience.
