Villa in Minakami
5.0 out of 5 average rating, 5 reviews

[Newly built and open] Hot spring with a direct flow from the source | 123㎡ private villa | Quiet forest with a view of birch trees, Minakami

A wooden home built in 2026 by Sumitomo Forestry, with a hot spring fed directly from the source. A 123㎡ private villa offering a high-quality stay in a quiet forest overlooking white birch trees. In the stillness, the view of the white birch trees that fills the large window welcomes you like a painting. The beautiful contrast of the dappled sunlight, the white of the birch trees and the green of the forest gently relaxes your mind. We designed it as an inn to get away from the bustle of the city and just soak up the "tranquility". The bathroom features "WABURO", a harmonious blend of cypress fragrance and beautiful tiles. Enjoy a luxurious bath time, relaxing in the water that flows directly from the source. The interior has a Japanese modern interior that feels the warmth of natural materials. A spacious place that can accommodate up to 13 people, perfect for family trips, group trips, and anniversaries. Enjoy coffee time or a BBQ while gazing at the white birch trees from the terrace, and spend quiet evenings in the forest under a sky full of stars. The forest scenery changes with the seasons, and the place feels very clean, as you would expect from a new building. You can enjoy a comfortable time here on a hot spring trip, retreat, or workation with everyone.

3 min by car or 15 min on foot to the beach

This forest log house is a little away from the convenience of the city, and you can experience the original richness and atmosphere in the "inconvenience" of the forest. The focus of the trip is the "Fire Daily Experience", which involves tending to the fire in the campfire or wood-burning stove, boiling water, and arranging the lighting. It takes time, but time flows slowly and you feel more comfortable with nature. On the other hand, it is located a 3-minute drive from the nearest beach in summer.BBQ while surrounded by the Sea of Japan and the sunset... the best part of summer. The log house is in a quiet location surrounded by forest, and the whole house is for rent.Waking up to the sound of birds and spending time surrounded by the scent of trees is the luxury of doing nothing. You will be greeted by a starry sky at night and by clear air and soft light in the morning. It's okay if you're new to campfires and wood stoves. We have all the necessary tools and will show you how to use them. It's not convenient, but it's recommended for those who want a "rich" stay. ◾️ Paid options (tax included) *Advance booking required ・ Electric BBQ grill ¥3,300 ・ Fire pit ¥2,200 ・ Firewood (for campfire) ¥500 ・ Coffee beans ¥950

Mökki means "cottage" in Finnish. Enjoy your time in a special place surrounded by nature. Guest house Mökki is located in Shinano-cho, which is blessed with forests, lakes and snow in the northern part of Nagano Prefecture, and there are many natural places such as Kurohime Kogen, Lake Nojiri and Togakushi nearby. You can freely use the comfortable building renovated with natural materials such as cedar, cypress, and plaster, the natural garden that creates seasonal scenery, and the forest where the stream flows. In the forest that we have been maintaining, you can see small birds, squirrels, and raccoons, and you can enjoy strolling around looking for wild vegetables and mushrooms, as well as swings and hammocks. We also paid close attention to the interior design and kitchen utensils to make sure you can enjoy 'living'. At the gazebo by the stream, you can enjoy a BBQ or campfire without worrying about the weather. It is ideal as a base for hiking, fishing, paddleboarding and golf in the green season, and as a base for winter sports in the snow season. [Nüek Kurohime] An entire rental accommodation in the forest of Kurohime Kogen

🍃 ‘Nüek’ is a small traditional kominka house located in the Kurohime Kogen highlands in Nagano, which has been restored as an entire accommodation. The renovation was attended by Studio Sayapu led by Mr. Kitazawa, an artist based in Nagano.Focusing on Mr. Kitazawa's sensibilities, the company's craftsmen brought out the power of the old private house and finished it into a space that quietly accommodates sophistication while making use of the taste. It is cool in summer and in winter you can enjoy skiing and snow scenes. While surrounded by nature, time passes as you gently prepare yourself. Instead of being a place to stay at the end of a trip, the accommodation itself becomes the destination of the trip. Enjoy a special time that can only be had at a small, secluded inn 🏠🍃 ⸻

Enjoy the view of Lake Nojiri, with a private sauna, Anoie (あの家)

This house overlooks Lake Nojiri and has a superb view. There are several ski resorts (Myoko, Kurohime, Madarao) about 15-20 minutes away by car, making it a perfect base for winter sports. Enjoy the wood stove sauna and the water bath with a view. There are no private houses around, so you can listen to music and watch movies loudly. Because it is a house located deep in the mountains, we take the best measures, but in the warm season, insects come out. It snows a lot in winter. In autumn, fallen leaves dance. You will also need to adjust the wood stove fire yourself. It's not an easy house to live in, but we promise you a great view and experience. Enjoy cooking with a counter kitchen with a view, condiments and cooking utensils. (There is no equipment for BBQ)
