Very colorful house. There is everything you need, and more. The host is trying very hard to help. The host has everything. There is even a wonderful hot tub and massage chair. It was interesting to sleep on tatami. Very nice view of Fuji. The house is very big. We were together, but it is also suitable for a small group.

Absolutely loved our stay at this traditional Japanese house. The space was clean, peaceful, and full of charm — tatami floors, shoji doors. Best of all, we were incredibly lucky to catch a clear view of Mount Fuji right from the backyard. Truly unforgettable. Would definitely stay again!

I live nearby.My son and his wife came with a baby. On the day of fireworks, accommodation costs for nearby ryokans are soaring, but this time, it was a weekday price even on holidays, and it felt like a great deal. Originally, when I booked by mistake for a month, they responded by rescheduling, and they were willing to handle forgotten items, and communication was very smooth.Thank you very much.

We had a wonderful stay at Gabriel's home in Hakone. The private indoor and outdoor onsen were absolutely perfect—such a relaxing experience and exactly what we needed to unwind midway through our trip. The space was clean, peaceful, and very comfortable for our group of four. One of the highlights was how accommodating the host was—allowing us to leave our luggage at the home after check-out so we could continue exploring Hakone without the hassle of carrying our bags. It made a big difference and we’re so grateful. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a relaxing and convenient stay in Hakone!

The owner was fantastic and very responsive, even took us to the local grocery store. The house is on the side of the hill in an incredibly quiet and serene location with complete privacy. The outdoor hot bath was incredible, too, and a great way to relax and unwind at the end of the day. Overall it was a great place to stay and would recommend it for anyone staying in Atami.

It was a very comfortable trip. The interior is also beautiful, and you can sleep in the tent. Children are very busy.The small house and slide in the garden were also playing happily. The location was also great because it was a convenience store and a supermarket around! The BBQ set was also easy to use.

We had an amazing time during our 3 day weekend ! Place was exactly as per the pictures and we had the feeling of being in another country ! Beach really close by (walkable distance but with hill to get back to the house), convenient store and grocery shopping near by if you have a car. Would happily come back for holidays !

Michael has a wonderful house, it is very beautiful and you can find a lot of cute details in the house. Michael is also a great host, very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!

great area to stay with great Mount Fuji views!

Yuji was really responsive and easy to communicate during our stay. It was an old house but I think the owner already tried his best to maintain and clean it (it’s just too old and had some stain and rust on places). There were trees and bushes surrounded the house - beautiful but yes a lot of bugs, and luckily not much got inside. There was not much to do nearby but would be good stopby to rest for a night. Considering the price it’s totally worth it. I’ll still give it 5 stars in overall.

We stayed in this lovely home just outside of town, nestled in nature, for one month and felt right at home. Abhi is a most generous and considerate host, he helped us out from start to finish and made sure we had the best time in the Shimoda area. You do not need a car if staying here as the beach and a couple of restaurants are only about a 10 min walk from the house and convenience store about 20 minutes and a couple more good restaurants / bars about 35 minutes. But if you want to visit more sites in the area or go to the grocery store we'd recommend a car. The main reason we were visiting the area was to dive with the huge schools of Hammerhead sharks just off the coast here. Without a car the dive center can pick you up. Thank you for your smooth response. I was able to park without any problems, even with the narrow roads and parking lots mentioned in the reviews.(SUV, High Ace) The weather was good and we were able to see the beautiful Mt. Fuji!I felt that it was an environment suitable for group use!

I've been here many times, and it's my favorite place to stay.I left something at the inn this time, but it was very helpful that they handled it well.

Booked this place without reading the reviews and solely based on Mr. Hiro’s description/pictures; I’ll use my review to clear up some of the negative reviews and lack stars that this place deserves. This is a Japanese traditional style home. The comforts of the western world that everyone is mentioning, for instance, air conditioning, are not common in Japan. Hiro’s place has an AC unit in the living room, though it’s not enough to reach the bedrooms upstairs, just open the windows and embrace the dozens of birds/nature. This was a surprise trip for my wife; not once did she complain about the stairs (she’s pregnant). Not a valid complaint; You should’ve read the description by the host before you booked. Free parking and easy accessibility by automobile. If you can afford to book this place, then you can afford a vehicle. Again, not a valid complaint. Also, you chose to travel to a mountain and use public transport; of course you’re going to complain about walking up hills.

I was staying for the Yugawara Yukake Festival. In a wonderful thatched-roof Japanese house, I had a good time with my friends around the fireplace. Coffee and seasonings were also provided, and I felt the thoughtfulness. The bus stop is also a 30-second walk away, and the location is great.

I used it for 12 people. Check-in went smoothly and we were able to BBQ right away, so it was a very long time. I enjoyed using it.

It will be used for the second time. It is a private space, and is highly recommended for those who want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. There is also plenty of space, and BBQs and bonfires are possible in the garden. Basic amenities, dishes, and garbage sorting are also provided, so you can enjoy a stress-free stay. There was no problem with the temperature control in the room. I'm looking forward to the next time.

8 years on, we returned to stay in this magnificent place. how far its come in 8 years, there is a whole amazingly curated experience now for the guests (no spoilers), interior has changed, garden, Bon fire, in floor Japanese fire pit for cooking. we went to the local grocer and bought everything to make yakitori. What an amazing time again.

Comfortable apartman, room was more spacious than it looked on the pictures:D However, it was designed for people with smaller stature, so someone who's above 180 cm might find it uncomfortable. Central location, relatively close to the bus and the sea. Many amenities offered, also close to many restaurants and convinience stores. Very communicative and helpful host. :) The only downside is that we had to be careful with the amount of hot water used for showering and dishes. Overall a great experience:D.
