Welcome to insta @Frykstaladan. It is located 50 meters from the south end of the fairytale snowy lake of Fryken. This unique home has its very own style that has emerged over the five years that we rebuilt the barn. High ceilings and plenty of space both inside and out. Everything is new and fresh. Perfect place for rest and recreation. It includes bikes, kayaks and DRINKS (2 of each) and the proximity to sports and outdoor activities is good. FredrikLars farm at Nordmarksbergs Mansion

FredrikLars-gården adjacent to Nordmarksbergs Herrgård: 19th century or older. In this farm, the great inventor John Ericsson's grandfather Nils (b. 1747 – 1790) has lived. On a rock in the grounds of the farm, there should be a curtain with the name of Nils. Picture of this stone can be found in Värmlandsarkiv's photo archive on a picture from 1955 (photo Lennart Thelander, pictures SEVA_11229_36 and SEVA_11230-1), but has not been found in the present day. It's probably hidden by mortar that's been covered over the rocks.

Hyttan

The 160-year-old furnace in the heart of Bergslagen was used for the production of iron ore until the mid 50'. In 2010, the building was given new life and transformed from a ruin into an exclusive private residence in industrial romantic style. Enjoy the 16 meter ceiling height and a striking view of the river rushing by just outside the huge windows. On the site and in the surrounding forest, several ruins remain from the time when it was still a vibrant industry.

The Sculptured House is built with natural, recycled and local materials, in harmony with its surrounding nature. This calm retreat offers an inspirational experience for those who look for a stress-free environment. It has a cozy sleeping loft with nice views and you have your own dry toilet.
