Holiday houses in Jintotolo Island

I would describe my stay on North Gigantes island as “full immersion” into local life on a small tropical island. If you are looking for “European style” accommodations, this is probably not a good place for you. But if you want an authentic experience of being together with local family, joining them for meals and conversation, and, most importantly, exploring beautiful islands, you should definitely come here. Jofel manages this guesthouse from Manila, and his local cohosts, Sam and Hemmie, will take care of you. The house is right in front of the ocean and on a small beach. But for a very small fee, you can also hire local boatsmen and go around for “island hoping,” checking out other beaches/lagoons/islands. North Gigantes has an abundance of seafood, and Hemmie can prepare for you excellent home style meals. And I also recommend to talk with her about local life: Hemmie is a teacher in a local school and can tell you many interesting stories. Bottom line: BIG THANKS for my stay.

I think this is the best resort in Balud. The beach is stunning, the staff is great, the food in the restaurant is good.

This was our first time in Gigantes and without a doubt choosing Balay sa Gigante as our homestay was the best decision. Best for travellers who would really want to enjoy the island and how the people live in it. Ma'am Hemmie and her family served us very delicious seafoods and went above and beyond to give us the best experiece. What we loved the most being a family of 5 with 3 kids is that they treated us like family. Hope we can go back💕

If you can, save up and invest in a good, beyond quality stay in Gigantes. My friends and I HIGHLY recommend this place. It is a very humble place. We got served home-cooked meals (around 250 php only!!) from breakfast to dinner. The staff and food was truly superb!!! Kuya Russel our tour guide is nice and funny (kaya nya makisakay sa trip nyo) 😁 Our Gigantes experience was truly heart warming because of Ma'am Hemmie, Sir Steve and family and the high level of hospitality only they could give. Cannot wait to go back! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
