We call this space the Waffle House because it’s the historic home of Waffle House founder Joe Rogers. The space is a full apartment with kitchen, laundry, living room, bathroom and bedroom. The apartment is located on W Deaderick and is just a short walk to Jackson Walk Restaurants , Farmer's Market, and Hub City Brewing Taproom. I am the brewmaster at the local brewery, and my fiancé works as a reporter for the local newspaper. We live downstairs with our two dogs, Layla and Morri.

Clean and cozy home less than 10 minutes from I-40, Union University, and north Jackson shopping, parks, restaurants, and entertainment. Great layout comfortably sleeps up to 8 guests yet cozy enough for 1-2 people. Our family frequents Airbnb properties when we travel and have brought that experience to our home to make it as comfortable as possible. Feel free to use the elliptical or venture outside for a walk or bike ride to see one of two water wheels and ponds in the neighborhood.

Such a cute house! Absolutely perfect and as described. Bedrooms are a good size, bathroom is nicely updated, and the kitchen was more than ample sized with anything needed to cook if you want to. The backyard is quite large, private and fenced - perfect for dogs or kids. The crown jewel is the living room which has a huge couch, tv, game area (with supplied board games) and a good sized desk for anyone who may be traveling for work. The neighborhood is nice - homes are nicely kept, updated and there are some new builds are well. Very safe area! We had zero concerns. It was quiet and the house is easy to find. George, the host, was incredibly responsive and more than happy to answer any questions we had both before, during and after our visit. He was fantastic and accommodated a late check out for us which was so appreciated. Truly cannot go wrong with booking this adorable home! We’d book again in a heartbeat and will be recommending to family and friends who come to the area.

Before saying anything about our stay, I want to say something about our host, Pam. I have never had a host that was easier to work with or more responsive to any questions that came up. She is a 5 STAR HOST for sure. This home was rented so that the majority of our family could be together while in town for a family wedding. From arrival to our leaving, it felt like we were in our own home. It simply could not have been more perfect. The description shown on Airbnb is exactly what we found AND was exactly what we were looking for. I highly recommend this property and this host. She is the best.

I truly don’t have enough kind words to say about our stay! Amy and Robert were so kind and thoughtful, and my husband and I honestly felt so at peace during our stay. The ducks were adorable, the puzzles, games, and records gave us plenty to do, and my husband couldn’t get enough of fishing off the back deck! We were so relaxed by the time our stay was over, we forgot our cooler - Amy messaged us and they cleaned it out, offering to set aside until our next stay. Which we will absolutely be back for soon!

Area inside was exactly as looked in pictures but we had a misunderstanding because we thought this listing said it was an apartment but it was really more like a room above a house where the neighbors live directly in the floor below of the house so it wasn’t what we were hoping for because we thought by apartment it meant like an apartment room in an apartment complex so we chose to not stay the night because it didn’t feel private but I don’t want to give a bad rating because the host was very kind & refunded us half & since it was more of a misunderstanding it’s not that the place was dirty or anything it just wasn’t as private as we thought it would be based on the description of “apartment” but otherwise great that it was dog friendly & the host was very kind & responsive & seemed to be equipped with everything someone would need if they did decide to sleep there & the bathroom looked nice & clean & well stocked.
