This accommodation is a renovated traditional house. Spend a quiet and relaxing time with the changing of the four seasons. Also open as a cafe during the day. Entire unit rental. Limited to one group. Vegan menu available. Long-term stay discounts for one week or more. 1 hour drive from Kanazawa station. Komatsu Airport is 45 minutes by car. About 2.5 hours by car to Shirakawago, Gifu Prefecture. Gokayama as well. From June to early November, it is easily accessible via the Hakusan White Road. Location Opened in May 2024. Located in the heart of Takayama's historic district, Makoto-ya Ojin is a stylish inn in 1-chome, Ojin-cho, Takayama City, where the good old Japanese landscape remains. In front of our house, which is sandwiched between the Hida-Buri Highway that connects the former Toyama and Takayama, there are the Nissho-bu Mingei Kan and the Yoshima residence, which are important cultural properties that show the rich cultural assets of Japan, and this area is designated as a preservation district for traditional buildings. You can enjoy the old town and beautiful scenery while experiencing historic buildings. It is a 2-minute walk to Miyagawa Morning Market and a 5-minute walk to Sakurayama Hachimangu Shrine, the site of the autumn Takayama Festival. The festival stall in this area is called Hōmeita, and it has a variety of decorations such as a palanquin and sculptures (1-minute walk to the stall). Enjoy Takayama's history to the fullest in an excellent location. <Building and Hida master carpenters> Built 145 years ago by a master craftsman from Hida, this building has been revived here by modern craftsmen. This is a 5-minute walk from Takayama's tourist attraction, "Old Town", and is a modern Japanese-style inn with a small open-air bath with a garden and a private sauna. The place name "Teppo-Machi" derives from the fact that many "Teppo-Ashigaru" who served the owner of Takayama Castle once lived there. Tourist attractions such as the Old Town, Sakurayama Hachimangu Shrine, Morning Market, and Takayama Bettei are all within walking distance.
