We are a small acreage just 15 minutes from Iowa City, 7 minutes from Solon, and 30 minutes from the Cedar Rapids airport. Our converted barn is at the back of the property, behind the house. There is a separate road leading back to the barn for super convenient parking. It’s rustic, cozy, warm and inviting.

Clara sleeps up to four guests in two queen size beds in the sleeping room that features hardwood floors, picture molding, and a large front window that opens onto a quiet street for those who enjoy night breezes. Nestled just south of downtown in a quiet historic Italian neighborhood, you are within walking distance from a world class brewery, bars, restaurants and miles of walking and biking trails surrounding Gray’s Lake. We are within a few miles of everything else that the downtown area of Des Moines has to offer!

Apartment is attached to garage, ground level entrance with no steps so is handicapped accessible. Decor is rustic, full kitchen and loft. Bathroom has a walk in shower. Futon and window seat on ground level and double bed in loft. Washer and dryer provided. Small cabin nearby with bunkbeds and a cot for sleeping. No bath.
