“I've stayed in Airbnb from PA to TX, to Paris France and this is hands down the most amazing place I've found. I've even stayed in 5 star hotels and they have nothing on Jessica. Normally I'd say a bunch of pro's and mention a con so you know it's a honest review. However, I wouldn't dare utter a single bad word to insult Jessica's pursuit of perfection. I've never seen a home this clean or comfortable. Want to rest your head on a flannel pillow? check. How about a cotton pillow? check. Want a light knitted blanket for spring? check. How about a fluffy down comforter in a duvet? check. Her style, cleanliness, amenities and country property are all stunning. Thanks for redeeming my faith in Airbnb, and in humanity.”

The Little Schoolhouse is a charming, 1800’s home that once served as a one-room schoolhouse and is now on the National Historical Registry. Nestled within feet of Rocky Marsh Run this fully remodeled, quaint one-bedroom, one-bathroom home has all of today’s modern conveniences with the charm of the 1800’s. The home is conveniently located 4 miles from downtown Shepherdstown, half a mile from the Potomac River, 5 miles from the C&O Canal and 8 miles from Antietam National Battlefield.
“What a great, quiet home to rest in after a long day hiking at Shenandoah National Park. Location of this house is perfect for exploring the close National Parks at Shenandoah, Harper’s Ferry and Antietam (30-60 min away). The town of Shepherdstown is only 10 min away to get food, coffee, and shopping. While Covid restrictions closed many places or had late openings of restaurants and shops, we enjoyed the lack of crowds and laid back touring. Brian does a great job recommending places to stop, but some are closed or changed their hours with Covid. The house is in a quiet neighborhood. It’s a smart house and has easy access to get in. The kohler shower is amazing - we all appreciate a great shower after a long day! Simple additions like Alexa, Netflix, and the sounds of the creek helped with relaxing for the night. Linens and towels were great. Bed, pillows and couch were very comfortable. Everything was VERY clean. One of our kids slept on the couch (we covered with a sheet we brought) and one on a twin air mattress we brought that fit perfectly by the couch. We loved this house and wish we could have stayed longer! Highly recommend staying here!”
