We were greeted by Sofia's Mum and Dad. Despite the language barrier, the welcome was warm. They answered our questions without any problems. We also had fruit from their garden. It is a strategic point to visit the east of the island (Agios Nikolaos, Sitia, Lerapetra, Lassithi Plateau). We recommend visiting the Kafenion just below the cottage. We are in the life of the village and the bosses are adorable... authentic!! Small downside on one of the rooms which is windowless and not separate from the toilets. But for a week, we can adapt. Perfect location to visit the eastern part of Crete. The apartment is well equipped, there is everything you need as a guest, every detail has really been thought of to be able to enjoy a wonderful and relaxing holiday. The apartment has a private parking space, is on the first floor and has its own entrance (18 steps). There are screens everywhere (so no problem with mosquitoes). The living room have air conditioning and all windows/doors are fitted with electric shutters. You can hear the road at the front of the apartment if you sleep with the balcony doors open, but we didn't have any problems with that. Tip -> Loop Quiet Earplugs if you are a light sleeper. Dimitris is a very pleasant host and responds quickly. He is committed to hospitality, with a focus on hospitality, attention and service. He has a proactive approach to understanding and exceeding the needs of us as a guest. We loved our stay!

This place is the best place to stay, quite and private, outdoor patio for enjoy cafe or beer but close to great public beach with free parking or waking 20 minutes, same time remote spot to go anywhere and not staying in crazy busy city where is night live and traffic like crazy. 9 minutes to Agios Nikolas if you like that , 1.5 h to Vai beach where Palm trees like in tropical place, 30 minutes to Iropetra and Myrtos on African side on island, beautiful. 30 minutes to 4000 years olive tree and waterfall canyon.

Enjoyed my stay at Petros residence. Very private and peaceful location. The scenery is beautiful. I was working majority of the time while here but the WiFi was great, had peace and quiet, enjoyed amazing hikes in the Istro area and beach every morning. The room is clean, way more spacious than the pics even seem, had amenities that you need and overall comfortable. Close to some restaurants and markets. Definitely recommend.
