The market house is a historic gem and is a listed building, designated as the first hostel of Saxon Switzerland. The house frames the market square in the reflection of the market church below the historic castle ruin. The vaulted cellars date back to 1527, while the main house was built in 1734 in the Franconian half-timbered style.

In der Unteren Etage befindet sich die Küche und ein Wohnbereich über eine Treppe ist das sehr ruhig gelegene Schlafzimmer und die Galerie erreichbar. Hier kann man in aller Ruhe alle Relaxen und die Seele baumeln lassen. Restaurants, Kaffees, Bars und Galerien sind nur einen Katzensprung entfernt. In die historische Altstadt ist man zu Fuß gemütlich in 20 Minuten gelaufen oder Drei Stationen mit der Tram gefahren.

The apartment on the top floor is truly unique. It is located on the second floor and and the entire place has been restored to original building. The original roof wooden frame, exposed brickwork, original flooring, fully functional wooden stove helps you to imagine what people lived like at the beginning of last century. The main living area is facing the front of the house and therefor you will find a view on the town square, town house and the famous basalt rock “Jehla”.

In 15 minutes you can reach the center of Dresden with its baroque old town. The bus stop for the direct bus connection to Dresden is a 2-minute walk away. The A17 motorway exit Dresden-Süd is only 3 km away.
