I am a San Diego local, but my family was coming to town and we needed more space. I picked this place because I knew my sister and brother-in-law would love being able to walk to all the restaurants and brewery nearby and my 6 year old nephew would get a lot of use out of the pool. The place exceeded my expectations, it was perfect for everyone. We spent a lot of time in the backyard swimming or playing board games, and my Mom got a lot of use out of the hot tub. Communication with the host was excellent and the place was comfortable and clean. The only downside is my family might visit too often now!

We had a fantastic week in La Jolla! John’s place was charming, spotless, and perfect for our family. The home was well-stocked with thoughtful amenities—including beach gear—and had everything we needed to feel comfortable. The location is unbeatable: a quiet, family-friendly neighborhood within a few minutes walking distance to the beach, great restaurants, coffee shops, and more. John was a friendly and responsive host who made everything easy from start to finish. Honestly could not have asked for a better host. Highly recommend for families looking for a relaxing, convenient stay in La Jolla. We’d love to come back!

We loved our stay at Mari Katherine’s Airbnb for a girl’s weekend in SD! It is a beautiful home that was spacious and thoughtfully designed and decorated to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The home feels private, but was in a fantastic location in North Park that was easily walkable to coffee shops, restaurants, etc. Mari Katherine sent clear instructions leading up to our stay, so the logistics of check in were clear and easy! When some logistical challenges came up during our stay, Mari Katherine was very responsive (even late in the evening) and offered solutions - we would be thrilled to visit again!

Quiet location, exactly as pictured and described. Parking could be a challenge if you have a large vehicle but being able to park in the garage made it easier. Great communication!

Van was very friendly, even had great food recommendations for my family and I. The home was one of the best Airbnbs I’ve ever stayed in. My children thought we were in a place of royalty with how well put together the house was. Loved our stay and will definitely be back

Jessica’s home is beautiful and located in a lovely neighborhood that is close proximity to many things. We came to celebrate the graduation of my niece and Jessica’s home was a great place for the family to connect, rest between events and spend time together! Her home is beautifully appointed and was perfect for our stay. Jessica is a great host who communicates with her guests and is very responsive! Her home is filled with good energy and I would definitely book again! for future family events when visiting San Diego!

If you have a family with children this is the PERFECT place! Not only are there plenty of toys and board games to keep the kids entertained, there is also a pool and jacuzzi. This rental even had toothbrushes and toothpaste along with sunscreen and aloe in case you forgot.

Brent’s place was amazing and I would definitely stay there again! It’s in a great location close to lots of restaurants in South Park and my favorite coffee shop Santos coffee :) Their home was beautiful inside and out with a great yard space for the doggies!

Great host! Very responsive and flexible. We couldn’t get the baby gate to stay up, but just having it there helped deter our small kids. Appreciated the pack n play, high chair, washer/dryer and clean bedrooms. Excellent location with a grocery store very close to walk to, along with many places to eat nearby. Perfect 10ish min to both the SD Zoo and SeaWorld too!

This three bedroom two bath was very clean and close to all the restaurants like taco sand underbelly. The parking spot spots were a little tight, but that’s North Park for you and we were able to fit our minivan into the parking spot on the driveway. We appreciated the soft and extra towels, the nice beds, fully stocked kitchen with spices and oil etc. The reason why we chose this place was that it was kid friendly with Pak and place provided a highchair and we were even happy to see that there were toys, book, kid utensils and plastic bowls and plates for the kids. This is a perfect place for family’s. Our 4 year old and 2 year old love this place. The backyard is spacious with a fire pit and plenty of seats and there were beach toys and chairs in the tub. We would highly recommend this Airbnb. Svelte was awesome and did everything she could to make the trip exceptional. Thank you!

Where do we even start? Stella made check-in feel like being welcomed home. She made sure we knew where everything was, directed us to her binder full of great local recommendations, and had even picked up a few grocery staples for us. Stella and her husband were more than accommodating and were very friendly. Stella made us want to come back to San Diego again soon! We loved our stay!

The house is absolutely gorgeous, we’d love to come back again if possible. The balcony is cute, nice place to drink and chill with friends. We got everything we need in the house. And the neighbours are cute. We are so grateful that you responded fast to us when we needed help and it made things so much easier. Thanks again 😆❤️

I stayed here for the Rock n Roll Marathon and it was the best location for my family to be able to walk 2 min and greet me mid race. Loved the place and everything was close!

WOW! I can’t say enough good things about Birdhouse and Billy & Jim as hosts. If I could give more than 5 stars I would!! They were so communicative and beyond accommodating. No ask was too big for them and if they were able to make it happen they did so in a heartbeat. They let us drop off our luggage early and gave us a late check out! The Airbnb was everything from the pictures and MORE and was also in the best location!! There were snacks & waters for us and every room was decorated so cute it was amazing. It was filled with everything you could possibly need for your stay. I went with my friends for my Bach and it was perfect and spacious and so fun and the backyard was so beautiful. We went hot tubbing and it was so nice and the lights in the backyard set such a fun mood. The mural in the backyard is stunning and we took many fun pictures there. I’m running out of characters available but if you’re going to San Diego stay at the birdhouse!! Thanks Billy & Jim for the best trip!!!

Such a beautiful place to stay at! So many things nearby that you don’t have to go far to enjoy the space. Bills home felt like home with a beautiful view!

This was our second stay here and it's such a great property. Beautiful place with 2 bedrooms and 2 baths (one of which is en suite). Perfect for two couples. The place is very comfortable and clutter-free which, frankly, is just want you want for an AirBNB. Lots of room for your clothes to unpack and make it a home-away-from-home for your stay. The neighborhood is very walkable and safe and it's close to lots of restaurants and nightlife. We ran into a issue with the A/C. I messaged the owner through they app and they were very responsive and resolved the issue (around our schedule) with little disruption to us as guests. I would highly recommend this property.

Perfect low key place for a party of 4. It’s very serene and charming inside with comfortable beds and quiet at night. It’s about a 15 minute walk to more shops but a cute market and great BBQ place a few blocks away. We had a great time!

Great little unit in a secluded location with tons of privacy. The view is fantastic. I would recommend to anyone. Read some of the reviews on homelessness nearby. it's actually quite far away so it's a non issue. Love the covered parking but just be aware of the narrow street with parked cars so use caution while backing out. We would definitely stay at Dylan's place again if we come back to San Diego!! Thank you for being a great host!

Kevin & Maria were super responsive and accommodating! We let them know that we were celebrating our mini honeymoon and they left a nice card with a bottle of champagne which was so thoughtful! The place was so clean and looked just like the pictures, it was perfect. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful which we appreciated and the neighbors were all nice. Location was great too, walkable to so many great restaurants and the amenities were great! You can hear some noise coming from the next unit but it’s accurately described in this listening where you can tell they’ve done their absolute best to try and insulate the wall where it is acceptable when trying to sleep. My husband is a light sleeper and he didn’t have any issues.

The place was very nice and comfortable. Destiny and Sal were responsive and helpful. The Hillcrest neighborhood is very pleasant and walkable.

Amy’s home was absolutely beautiful. The fountain outside trickling with water was so peaceful. I felt right at home. It had a very comfortable bed. Everything was ultra clean. Amy was always responsive and helpful Thank you Amy for opening your home.
