Monthly Rentals in High Newton-by-the-Sea

We loved our stay in Periwinkle Cottage, it was clean, we had everything we needed and it was very cosy in the evening. Great location for what we wanted to do in Northumberland and 2 excellent pubs in walking distance! Everything was very family and dog friendly too which was a bonus.

Fantastic few days away exploring the beautiful Northumberland coast with our young family and dog. The cottage was a perfect base - the cottage was really well equipped for adults and kids. The cottage has been beautifully refurbished to create a very homely and cosy feel. More spacious than some of the photos suggest! The linen was all top quality and having a secure garden was perfect for our dog. The outside seating area was a bonus and despite being a little chilly still got some good use. Ruth was an excellent host and provided lots of clear instructions on things to do / places to eat. I would definitely recommend this cottage as a great spot to explore the Northumberland coast. We booked Croft Place Hideaway as we were due to attend a wedding at nearby Newton Hall. We were so very impressed with how beautiful everything was and how well equipped the kitchen was we were very tempted to see if we could for stay for longer!

We had a great time at Clare’s lovely cottage with our dog. Clare’s communication since the moment we booked was great and she was very helpful. The check in process was really easy and simple. The cottage was spotlessly clean when we arrived and the welcome hamper with lovely fresh bread, A delicious lemon drizzle cake, wine and bacon was a lovely touch. The location of the cottage is excellent, a stones throw away from the local pub which serves lovely meals, The beach is a nice 20 minute or so walk away and is excellent if you have a dog. Overall really pleased with the stay and will definetly be returning.
