We had a lovely stay!! Beautiful cottage!! Photos does not do it justice, very nice and private with cosy finishes! Would higly recommend, will definitely come back!!

Wynsome was a courteous host, making sure we had everything we needed, including sharing with us the town's Saturday market which we didn't previously know about and then for the rest of the stay went about her day. Although you can see the property from the road, it is in a quiet area so sitting in the back on the stoep with the braai going felt like we had the whole of the Karoo to ourselves. Perfect space for a couple, you have everything you need for when you come back from a day's exploration.

We had a magical weekend here! The home was so well equipped - from comfy bedding, blankets for chilly evenings, towels for swimming, and games for entertainment; to all the kitchen utensils you need, plus an array of tea, coffee, spices, oil vinegar etc. The grounds are absolutely beautiful, the river and pool provide amazing swimming opportunities; and the outdoor seating and loungers were perfect. While we spent most if our time enjoying the river, the town of stilbaai was also a pleasant surprise. It offers quaint shops, huge beaches, hiking opportunities, and various tasty dining options.

First time we have stopped in Barrydale in 7 visits to South Africa. Magriet’s place was exactly as described and everything was high quality. Magriet’s very clear instructions enabled us to access the property quickly without fuss. Facilities in the property were excellent and more than sufficient for our needs. We hope to come back and stay a few more days next year - god willing!

Kali's place is wonderful - and full of little surprises of art and beauty! We enjoyed the stay in the cosy oasis with the saltwater pool and shaded Yoga Platform in the lush outdoor area very much and were grateful for the reliable Internet access even during load shedding. Brighton and uplifting colours in Sanza Fe style and very friendly and helpful communication and interaction witz our host made our stay in Barrydale exceptional - and it is not far from the mountains for hikes and swimming in cool, natural rock pools. We hope to come again in December!

Well managed little cottage in a beautiful garden, with all creature comforts. Looks just like advertised, and is kept very clean.

Great rustic farm stay outside of Swellendam. Safe to explore the area and the wood fired hot tub was a perfect addition. We loved exploring the farm and spotting all of the animals, especially the giraffe! Comms from the host could have been better though as we had some difficulty finding the farm for check-in without any directions.
