Ideally located in a quiet residential street 5 minutes walk from York Minster and the hustle and bustle of the city centre with its museums, fine restaurant dining and shopping. Eight minutes walk from York train station. With an eye for the unusual and attention to detail Royal College of Art graduates David and Anita have created the perfect, dreamy get-away. The apartment has been selected by Alistair Sawday's 'Special Places to Stay' (the first in York). This spacious apartment has been lovingly restored and styled by its artist owners and features their original artworks (paintings/lights). The apartment has solid oak flooring, antique Persian rugs and a combination of period French and contemporary designer furniture which contributes to the apartment's special character. A stunning set of 18th century chateau doors divide the living and bedrooms and provide the 'wow factor' of this charming find. A welcome basket of Prosecco or red or white wine and olives as well as breakfast provisions to be found in the kitchen; Artisan bread, butter, preserves, cereals, milk, free-range eggs, fresh fruit juice, Marmite, Betty's/Yorkshire tea and ground coffee. *FREE WI-FI* and *FREE PARKING*. Help with luggage. The living room with its linen covered antique chesterfield sofa, large format art books, 42" Smart HD TV with Freeview, DVD player, Bose Bluetooth sound system is perfect for a cosy night in. Wet-room style bathroom with walk-in shower, heated towel rail, underfloor heating and plenty of white fluffy towels (shower gel and shampoo etc.) The kitchen - reclaimed slate work-tops, Victorian tiled floor. Induction hob, oven, fridge, microwave, electric kettle, coffee maker, toaster etc. Washer-dryer, steam iron and ironing board. Ring front door bell marked 'Evagora-Campbell' and David or Anita will give you a key and show you around the apartment. The apartment is within our family house but completely private with its own entrance. Your hosts are on hand, though, for advice on local attractions, restaurants and places to visit for day trips. 'Atelier 22 York' is situated in York's 'Cultural Quarter', a few minutes walk from the Yorkshire Museum, the Theatre Royal, York Art Gallery and the Minster. The city's top eateries are a stone's throw away : Roots, The Star Inn The City, Betty's, Skosh, Partisan, Le Cochon Aveugle, as well as numerous pubs and bars; a gentle stroll back home at night. The beautifully restored medieval buildings of Stonegate and the Shambles provide the perfect setting for some last minute shopping. York's many attractions, including The Minster, Yorkshire Museum and Gardens, Treasures House, Fairfax House, Castle Museum, National Railway Museum, City Walls, Theatre Royal, City Screen Cinema, Betty's famous Tea Rooms are all 5-10 minutes walk away as well as beautiful riverside walks and restaurants, pubs and bars too numerous to mention. So a car taxi/bus is not a necessity at all. A walk through the tranquil Museum Gardens, a couple of minutes away, past the medieval ruins of St. Marys Abbey and the restored 3rd century Roman Multangular tower brings you into the pedestrianised heart of the city. York station (with coach stops for excursions to Whitby, Castle Howard, Fountain's Abbey and the coast) 8 minutes walk. Cycle hire from 'Cycle Heaven' also at York Station. There are 13 outdoor steps to the apartment.

Well presented self-contained one-bedroom ground floor apartment adjoined to the main house but with own separate entrance. The apartment contains all you need for a comfortable stay in York. It has the best of both worlds - only two miles from York's busy and vibrant city centre, yet situated in a quiet rural location. It is a short distance to the York Outer Ring Road (A1237) from which other arterial roads such as A64, A59 and A19 can be easily accessed. We look forward to welcoming you!

Located in the Courtyard at Skipbridge Farm , No 3 the Stables is a one bedroomed cottage with a spacious lounge and original wooden beams . The cottage has a flat screen TV and DVD player and has a modern kitchen and bathroom with shower .All the rooms are on one level .There is ample parking in the courtyard for guests. The cottage has Wifi and a wood burning stove. We are approx 20 minutes from the centre of York, and a short drive away we have lovely local pubs that serve great food .

Our converted milking parlour in the heart of the York plain is a unique one bed, self contained tiny house! With access to York and the surrounding area, it is a perfect place for a weekend away or a longer stay for business, retreat, escape. There is a bus that runs from just outside to York. They do not run at the weekends during winter and never on a Sunday. There is a train station 3 miles away. Parking is available on the road. There is a shop 2 minutes away. No pets or children.
