The Acorn is on the southern side of Bishops Stortford, roughly 15 minute walk from town centre. There is a river behind you can stroll along, outdoor space, and the room is light and airy. Private gated parking for one vehicle. The place is secluded good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and one well-behaved furry friend (pet). Our Garden Hut sits at the bottom of our garden. It has a small double bed and gorgeous views of our thatched cottage. Located in the centre of the village, it is peaceful and tranquil. Convenient for Cambridge (30 mins by car), exploring the beautiful countryside nearby, Wimpole Hall, IWM Duxford or for weddings at South Farm. NB: The bed in the Hut is smaller than the average UK double (5'8 x 4'0 vs 6'3 x 4'6 ft / 173 x 122 vs 182 x 136 cms) and the WC is situated just inside the house.

Lovingly built, my shepherd’s hut is wonderful for a short break away from it all. Located in the rural village of Stocking Pelham in Herts, the surrounding area is perfect for country walks or cycling. Nearby pubs offer great beer and fabulous dining. A short drive away you have various attractions including Henry Moore, Audley End, and the lovely old market town of Saffron Walden. Cambridge and Newmarket are not too far either.
