Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Hersonissos

We enjoyed a fantastic four days in Aris’ place, the views of the plateau and mountains are just beautiful! We felt right at home, and it was lovely to have Aris and his wife physically there at check in, a rarity these days! The images really don’t do this place justice, it is up some winding roads but we were prepared for that having visited the plateau in 2012. We can’t recommend staying here more, we really wish we’d have booked a longer stay! Aris had a fantastic hire car recommendation too, which was also great, and we had some amazing recommendations from them too. Thank you very much Aris!

we had a great week at Maria's place. The covered terrace is the most beautiful room in the house with a magnificent view of the sea. The beach is less than 5 minutes' walk away, but beware, for people who have difficulty walking, the slope is rather steep to climb. Maria is very responsive and responds very quickly to messages. Agia Pelagia remains a small seaside resort very well located to visit the North of the island. Beautiful discovery

We can highly recommend this accommodation. It's tucked away in a very secluded spot, which makes it wonderfully peaceful. At the same time, you can reach restaurants and a mini market in just a few minutes. A car is essential! The garden is stunning. The biodiversity is incredible. There's always something new to discover. The house is quite small and simply furnished, but that was absolutely fine. Everything was clean, and that's what matters most. The long driveway leading to the house can be a bit intimidating—it just slopes down without any railing or guard. But that’s just part of the Cretan charm. Giannis was always very friendly and helpful—thank you for everything! We also got to know the neighboring family and even visited them. Such kind people. And the animals! Aphroditi the horse, a peacock, chickens, and turkeys—our daughter loved them. Overall a great experience. We were very happy and would definitely recommend it. Who knows—maybe we’ll be back in a few years!

I had the pleasure of staying at Villa Majo with my family for two weeks in August. The villa itself is beautiful and ideally located in Agia Palagia, just 20 minutes from Heraklion and about the same distance from the airport. The property is brand new and impeccably maintained, featuring five comfortable bedrooms. The upstairs rooms offer stunning sea views, making mornings truly special. What truly sets this place apart is the exceptional hospitality. Maria, the owner, is incredibly attentive and goes above and beyond to cater to your every need, acting almost like a personal concierge. Whether it's arranging beach trips, restaurant reservations, or even a manicure, Maria has it covered. And the massage—simply the best I've ever had! Rena, who looks after the villa, prepares and serves delicious breakfasts daily and cooks amazing dinners in their charming wine room, separate from the main house. Her culinary skills are outstanding. I highly recommend villa Majo. Perfect stay !

I stayed with my wife and in-laws for three nights. The home was spacious and we enjoyed having the extra room. Thomais left us some treats in the fridge. A great home base. Note the beds are the firm side. The main living area has Air Conditioning but the upstairs bedrooms did not.

It was all perfect!! The apartment is bigger than it looks in the pictures. Everything is very, very clean and lovingly furnished. There's nothing missing! The balconies are great, I enjoyed lying on the lounger in the sun and looking at the trees. No one can look up at the balcony by the bedroom, you really have your peace here. Just a few minutes' walk and you are already in the lively old town. Nevertheless, you have your peace and quiet here. I was able to sleep well and the bed was very comfortable. You have everything you need here and I immediately felt very comfortable. The hosts are very pleasant and warm. I love Crete and especially Malia and can also recommend this accommodation without restriction. There is also parking is available right in front of the house. Price and performance is excellent!! May 2025, 10 nights stay for three (2 adults, 1 toddler). Villa is really fantastic. Beautiful view of the sea and the bay. It offers plenty of space for more people (2 couples, 4-6 friends, 2 families) and for longer stays (storage space, cupboards and shelves, etc.). The furnishings correspond to the description and offer, even in the kitchen, everything you need. Our highlight was the covered terrace. Our flight was moved up at short notice. A significantly earlier check-in was no problem at all in our case. Stelios is a very friendly, helpful and dedicated host. We recommend him and his villa without reservation. Small limitation: the accommodation is a bit off the beaten track or the region is a bit urbanised (mainly due to the geography of the terrain). Without your own car, it will be a bit difficult in our opinion. However, there is a free parking space directly at the house.

very nice clean modern apartment equipped with everything, air conditioning, equipped kitchen, washing machine, comfortable bed, only flaw is the lack of a dishwasher. around the house there were several cats and also 4 adorable dogs that live in that area, but don't be afraid they are very sweet and harmless, we fed them throughout our stay and they always made us happy, if you can please do the same, in Crete there is no real concept of pets and even less of stray dogs abandoned to themselves, a small gesture can make a difference, thank you very much.

We had a wonderful and unforgettable stay in Crete. Katerina welcomed us very well in this paradise island me and my sister. Indeed, she welcomed us at the bus stop to show us the beautiful apartment which is a 10-minute walk from the beach. The apartment had all the necessary amenities and it was very clean (the bedrooms, the kitchen, the shower, the sheets,...). Katerina was listening and answering all our questions throughout our stay. She showed us the supermarket which is 10 minutes away by bus where you can find tasty vegetables and fruits and local products like olive oil and honey. It also showed us the tourist places: the most beautiful beaches of Crete like the sublime Sarantaris beach, the beautiful Heraklion Cruises to Dia Island and the beautiful neighboring towns like Nikolaos. My husband and I spent a lovely week at Asteri Home. The house was exactly as expected and just what we wanted for our week in Crete. The kitchen was well-equipped and allowed us to make breakfasts and a some dinners at home. The main double bedroom was big enough and comfortable. The bathroom is a bit dark and the shower is quite small, but we made do. The most amazing part of the house is the huge garden overlooking the sea that has 4 sun loungers, 2 outdoor tables for dining, a BBQ and a dart board. We spent a lot of time sitting at the end of the garden enjoying the view. Véronique and Yiannis are amazing hosts. They were so helpful right from the start - arranging transport from the airport, a rental car, offering suggestions for restaurants and places to visit. Kokkini Hani is quieter than other more touristy parts of Crete we visited. We found wonderful Greek restaurants with fresh seafood everyday. The supermarket and shops are all in walking distance. A lovely place!

We had a wonderful time and Yannis was very nice and cooperative. we highly recommend his place.

Eirini was lovely. Her apartment wasn’t located in the nicest of areas but inside made up for it. The outside area didn’t quite live up to the photos but still was nice. The shower was an issue we had many cold showers even after following her instructions. All in all lovely host

We stayed in a really well furnished home, with all possible comforts available. The host is really nice and welcoming. The only thing is the neighborhood, quiet but a little shabby. However the house is amazing, we couldn't ask for better

We really enjoyed our stay. The accommodation had everything we needed. Our host was very communicative and even brought us breakfast one morning – a very kind gesture! Within 5 minutes, you can reach the beach, a café, a restaurant, and a supermarket. Other than that, there isn’t much in the immediate surroundings, but the location is perfect for a relaxing stay.

We had an extremely nice stay at the villa. The pool and the view are simply breathtaking. The rooms are very spacious and there is plenty of space to relax. Everything was very clean and we didn't miss anything. Thank you for everything Stavros. We'll be back!

We loved our stay at this comfortable, immaculate property with a gorgeous view of the ocean. Dimitris was extremely responsive and helpful, Popi who met us at checkin was friendly and welcoming, and Maria who came by to clean was sweet. The apartment is located in a great area as it is a small seaside community but still has a grocery store, restaurants, and pharmacy within walking distance. We rented a car and drove all over. I really enjoyed the time we spent outside on the patio listening to the waves crashing.

We just loved everything about this airbnb!!!!! The house was AMAZING, incredible views, incredible features, we went to the pool, did barbecue, breakast with ocean view, everything and more we expected! Konstations is THE BEST host we ever got!! Not only he was hiper reactive, attentious ( he made sure to got us on the airport so we arrive well, his mom cooked us food because they would imagine we would arrive late and hungry), incredibly generous and nice!! We have many tips and support during the full trip ! Everything and more that we expected! Thank you again

Our family spent a wonderful 14 days in Manolis’ house at the end of October. We fully recommend this place if you’re traveling with kids! Our twins spent nearly all their time outdoors, feeding the friendly cats, collecting stones, and playing in the treehouse – they were absolutely delighted. The house is spacious enough to comfortably accommodate a large family (we were 5 adults and 2 kids) and is beautifully furnished with a stylish and cozy feel. The outdoor area is perfect for children to explore and play safely, and the quiet surroundings made for a relaxing retreat. Manolis and his family were excellent hosts, providing everything we needed to feel at home and ensuring our stay was perfect. If you’re looking for a family-friendly destination with plenty of charm and warmth, this is the ideal spot. We would love to come back!

Our stay was perfect all around! We were greeted with a lovingly prepared welcome gift upon arrival. Communication was clear and straightforward from the start, and thanks to the great restaurant recommendations, we discovered some culinary highlights. The house has plenty of space. Furthermore, there were some amenities for the kids, such as a trampoline, baby chair, cot, etc. We felt very comfortable and can highly recommend this accommodation!

We read the reviews and immediately booked this gorgeous place. Full of history and modern amenities, it was the perfect launching spot for us to spend 3 days in Heraklion in total style and comfort. The views from every room and rooftop deck were stunning. To wake up with the blue water, harbor of boats and Venetian port was like being in a painting. Georgia was responsive and kind and generous. She shared the ancient history of her home with us—which made our stay even more magical. The piano and guitar were added bonuses that our musical family enjoyed playing! We highly recommend staying here—luxurious, historical, beautiful. We can’t say enough about how much we loved this place. Oh, and the outdoor garden patio at entrance was divine and the sky lights gave so much natural light. We also appreciated the washing machine and efficient and fast air conditioning. You won’t be disappointed if you book this place.
