We are set in the heart of the Ruhr area. Behind the house are several allotment clubs that lead to the Rhine-Herne Canal. Shops for daily needs and public transport are within walking distance. The A42 can be reached in 2 minutes by car. The location is very central and the Herner city center as well as Recklinghausen, Castrop-Rauxel, Dortmund and Bochum are within easy reach. The apartment with 42 sqm is for your sole use and is located in an MFH on a busy 30s zone.

We offer another small apartment (about 50 sqm) for max. 4 people on the 1st floor of our quiet two-family house on the outskirts of Recklinghausen. Up the stairs is a bit steep, there is a handrail on both sides. We live in a quiet settlement surrounded by fields and forests, yet you are in the city in a few minutes. The connection to the A2 and A43 is optimal. Bus stops and grocery stores are also nearby . The surrounding area invites you to excursions into nature.

Cozy Forest Stay in a Steigerhaus – Dog Friendly

A bright, lovingly furnished attic apartment (2nd floor) in an old Steigerhaus (former foreman’s house from the mining era) – once part of a mining site, now surrounded by woods and meadows. A cozy home away from home for up to two people. The apartment is accessible via a comfortably wide spiral staircase. If you don’t like dogs, this isn’t the right place for you – they’re part of our family. That’s why dogs are, of course, very welcome in our holiday apartment.

A bathroom with shower and tub as well as a sink and toilet is available. The apartment is about 300 meters from the cultural center (VHS) Herne and about 500 meters from the city center of Herner. A supermarket and a bakery are right behind the house.
