Beachfront holiday rental in Heraklion

we had a great week at Maria's place. The covered terrace is the most beautiful room in the house with a magnificent view of the sea. The beach is less than 5 minutes' walk away, but beware, for people who have difficulty walking, the slope is rather steep to climb. Maria is very responsive and responds very quickly to messages. Agia Pelagia remains a small seaside resort very well located to visit the North of the island. Beautiful discovery

Athina and her family are great hosts, very warm and helpful. They do it with heart, you can tell. There's no better way to do it! They are also available at any time if you have questions, just great! The place is as shown in the pictures. We were there with our little son and dog, both were very warmly welcomed. For children, there are toys for digging, high chairs and a paddling pool. We also received some great gifts, which is also very nice. (Fruit, olive oil, wine and homemade snacks) Parking spaces can always be found, either on the property or on the street. You can reach many great restaurants and a great sandy beach in a short time by car. The neighbours are also very nice. We can only recommend it for families!

This was literally the best airbnb I have ever stayed in, with the best host to match. Katerina is an elite host and so, so lovely to work with. She treats you like old friends! She went above and beyond. And the house....I don't have enough space to tell you how great it is. 10/10 cannot recommend enough and I hope we get to see her again some day.

An oasis of calm close to the seafront, harbour and old town. The house is beautifully renovated and as all that you need for your stay. Communicating with the owners was excellent & we got an instant response. It would have been helpful to have a bit more information about services in the immediate area especially grocery shops. Overall we had a lovely stay and would recommend to others.

Dora and her family were so friendly and helpful. Dora collected us from the bus and arrived the next morning with a pot of soup. Delicious. Everything about the accommodation was amazing. A lovely apartment nice pool area , nice walks. Bravo restaurant and staff are fantastic. Antonis is so friendly and welcoming. It’s our favourite restaurant. I would highly recommend this Airbnb

We enjoyed our stay at Manolis house! He is very kind and gave us helpful advices for traveling by bus and restaurants. There are plenty of beaches around the area and many nice restaurants with seaview. The supermarket nearby is good sorted and don't forget to leave food for the cats!

This quaint AirBnB was not only comfortable but also a stone’s throw away from the beach. We felt right at home and enjoyed every moment - would totally recommend! (Side note: Crete is a gorgeous but absolutely HUGE island, if you want to get around easily and visit other beaches you should definitely hire a car) 🇬🇷

Our stay at the villa was nothing short of incredible. The location was peaceful and serene—away from the busier tourist areas, it truly felt like our own private resort. The views were absolutely stunning, and every moment there felt like a dream. The house itself was fully equipped with everything we could possibly need, and the heated pool was a highlight—especially during the cooler evenings. It made it easy to enjoy every part of our stay, no matter the weather. George, our host, was fantastic. He was always just a message away, ready with helpful suggestions and warm hospitality. His attention to detail and genuine care made our stay even more special. We’re already dreaming about our return. Highly recommend!

Had a great stay! Thank you for your warm hosting, as well as your responsiveness and flexibility. The Airbnb is very well located: about 20-25 min from Heraklion by car and 10 min from the center of Hersonissos. Not having a vehicle, I got around by bus or taxi. There is a stop right in front of the accommodation (at the Zorbas Village Hotel) or another stop about 15-20 minutes walk. It is better to have a car to get around, go shopping because the Airbnb is a little out of the way, there is no hypermarket nearby on foot, it is a tourist area with many hotels, the molo café opposite offers free deckchairs. The location is very nice and safe, there are a lot of buses, taxis, cars but it's not too disturbing. The sea is right across the street, not even 2 minutes away, the view from the garden is great (of the sea and the mountains). The accommodation is comfortable and perfect for one or two people. I would definitely stay again.

What a gem! This villa in Agia Pelagia is the perfect getaway. You get the best of both worlds: the privacy and comfort of a fully equipped villa with stunning views, just a short walk from one of the best beaches in the area. The villa is thoughtfully stocked with everything you might need — whether you're staying for a few days or a longer vacation with kids. The showers are excellent (especially the one on the top floor), with strong water pressure and hot water available all day. The pool is a real highlight — private, clean, and super relaxing. And if you're renting a car, there's convenient private parking included. Fanis is a true superhost — responsive, helpful, and welcoming. We absolutely loved our stay and are already planning to return next year!

The Hilltop Villas are exactly as shown in the photos. Modern facility, tip-top maintained. Very attentive hosts. Giannis and his mother Anna were very attentive and extremely helpful. We really enjoyed staying with them!

We had a wonderful stay at Dimitrios’ house in Lygaria! The home is spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated, and has everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing holiday. The view from the balcony is breathtaking, perfect for enjoying a morning coffee or a glass of wine in the evening. The location is ideal: peaceful and quiet, yet just a short walk to the beach and local tavernas. Dimitrios was an exceptional host, welcoming, responsive, and full of helpful tips to make our stay even better. One thing to note is that there are sound monitors inside the house. We’d highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing escape in Crete.

Emmanuel was awesome, his place is tiny but has everything you need, and it's super close to the beach. I totally recommend it!

The appartment was perfect, great location with a balcony and view of the sea. Close to nice restaurants and a quiet area. About a 10mins walk to the busier nightlife area. Was also easy to find taxis at the main street behind the appartment. The aircon worked well, and the flat had kitchenette ideal for 2 people. A small shower but worked well and we didnt mind it being small seeing you only spend 3mins of your day in it. Thanos was great at check in and check out and personally welcomed us even late on a friday night. he showed us around the neighborhood and gave reccommendations which was a nice touch.A really comfortable stay. Would stay again if we come back one day!

Staying at Panagiotis and Marianne place, The Sunny Terrace House was wonderful ! They were absolutely amazing hosts - so kind and generous, they provided everything we needed for breakfast, water and even a special raki in the fridge ❤️ The house is better in reality than the photos. Big, high ceiling rooms, very clean and well arranged. The living room with the kitchen is very spacious. The terrace surrounding the house is also very generous and well shaded. The bathroom - very beautiful, clean and spacious. The location is perfect, quiet and near the beach, tavernas and bus station. We highly recommend this place!! For sure, we will return to stay here when visiting Crete again- we felt like home ❤️

5 stars are not enough to give Komissa's. The home is beautiful, historic and unbelievably located. It was not lacking in any amenity and if it was Yvonne was available to provide it. I cannot say enough about how wonderful my stay was. Yvonne is a fabulous hostess; every recommendation was spot on and she was kind enough to take me to her favorite taverna where we were treated like queens. She goes the extra mile (kilometer) to ensure you have everything you could want or need. She makes sure you see the "real" Crete, not just what the tour books tell you. While the pictures are 100% accurate and completely represent the home, u you cannot see just how centrally located the home is until you are there. And the rooftop! So peaceful and surrounded by so many beautiful plants I cannot wait to come back, now that I've traveled through Greece, i can spend my entire vacation at Yvonne's home. 100 stars all the way and i can't wait to come back to Ag.Pelagia! From start to finish, we had a wonderful stay with Kostis and the team! We couldn’t have asked for a better stay in Heraklion and would recommend for anyone. They were responsive and accommodating to all our needs, and we look forward to staying with them again soon!

We absolutely loved our time here! The listing description was spot on. No surprises as everything was exactly as described. The best part was 100% the beach! Its literally right in front of the apartment! Falling asleep to the sound of ocean waves every night was so nice. Agia Pelagia itself is ideal for a relaxed vacation. The beach is peaceful, very clean, and has a great mix of sandy spots for lounging. There’s also a solid variety of restaurants nearby, plus plenty of supermarkets and souvenir shops just a short walk away. Everything you need is within walking distance. I came here with my best friend and we had the most amazing time. We’re already talking about when we can come back. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful seaside getaway!

Excellent location, easy access and walkable to all that Heraklion has to offer. The view of the ocean from the balcony was one of our highlights. It is a nice and renovated apartment with all the amenities one requires!

This is a great location a short drive from the Heraklion airport, Knossos, Heraklion city center and many beautiful surrounding beaches, including one that is just outside the property! Super convenient to start or end your day with a swim on a beach and then just walk a few steps to shower without having to bother with driving anywhere. The beach had a lot of kids on it, so I can also see this being a great location for a small family if you want to spend most of the days just relaxing! There are several restaurants nearby, and two right across from the property, so you can also end your day with a glass of wine overlooking the water. The apartment is incredibly clean and not cramped, and Rena provided free local cookies (yum!)--she and her family were amazing hosts! Super kind and quick to respond, also with great recommendations on things to do, places to eat, etc. I felt really supported as a solo female traveler, and the location is very safe. Thanks for the great stay, Rena!
