Cancel your service or experience reservation as a guest

Have your plans changed? You may be able to reschedule for another date or time, or you can cancel your reservation.

Check if you can cancel your reservation for free

Cancellation policies vary by service or experience listing. Most services and experiences on Airbnb have a 1-day cancellation policy, allowing you to cancel until 24 hours before the service or experience start time (local time zone) for a full refund. Certain services and experiences may have a 3-day (72-hour) cancellation policy.

If you cancel outside of the stated free cancellation period, you won’t receive a refund, unless one of the circumstances outlined in our guest cancellation policy for services and experiences applies to your reservation, or if the host, at their discretion, agrees to give you a full refund.

Once you start the cancellation process, you’ll be able to review any refund amount before you finalize the cancellation.

Cancel a service or experience reservation

Cancel a reservation on desktop

  1. Click Trips and select the reservation you want to cancel
  2. Under Reservation details, click Cancel reservation
  3. Choose a reason for canceling and click Continue
  4. Click Cancel reservation

You’ll get a message to confirm the cancellation. If you’re eligible for a refund, you’ll get it within 10 business days. Find out more about when you’ll get your refund.
