Heinolassa on useita uimarantoja ja lähin sijaitsee 1,5 km päässä. Heinola on luonnonläheinen kaupunki Päijät-Hämeessä noin 30 km Lahdesta pohjoiseen. Kaupunki on tunnettu erityisesti upeista puistoistaan ja vesistöistään. Kippasuon (Kippis) arvostettu frisbeegolfrata löytyy Heinolan keskustan kupeesta.
