A few steps in front of the front door, hiking trails lead into nature. The premonstratenser monastery is also worth a visit. In the village itself there is a bakery , a hairdresser and a restaurant. In addition, a doctor and a pharmacy. All other shopping facilities (Lidl, Aldi, Rewe, DM, organic shop, etc.) are located (about 10 minutes by car) in Nastätten.

Hohenstein is not a transit point and is very quiet at an altitude of about 360 m. The nearest EK stores are 3.5 km away. Hohenstein Castle (over 800 years old, 150 meters away) offers six weeks of castle festivals in summer and is open daily from 10 am to 6 pm. Three beautiful golf courses are about 25 minutes away. The hiking trails "Rheinsteig," "Burgensteig," "Wispertal" and the "Rheingau-Riesling-Route" can be reached quickly. Guests with bicycles get their money's worth. E-bikes would be great.

Relaxen am Wald

A vacation in beautiful nature in the heart of the Rheingau near the Schloß Vollrads and Schloss Johannisberg wineries in Stephanshausen. Please feel at home in my detached house with garden! Priceless but nevertheless included: fantastic views over a horse paddock and beyond the Rhine. From here you can start wonderful hikes. In a short time, you're at Johannisberg Castle, Rüdesheim with Drosselgasse, abbey and romantic castles.
