For those who really want to experience the best Helgøya has to offer. Villa Leonore is a summer house built for tramway director Dybwad's wife Leonore in 1915. A nice garden leads down to a private beach by Mjøsa. Beautiful perennial bed and a separate kitchen garden to supply yourself with. You can relax on the porch with a good book, and make delicious local and organic food, with the farm's and the area's own products. Vågåhuset is a timber building that was moved from Vågå to Lillehammer in 1913. The house was originally one of three buildings on a farm in Vågå in Gudbrandsdalen. According to Maihaugen/digital museum, the house was bought and moved to Lillehammer by the painter Frederik Collett.
