Top marks all round. The house is large and ideal for our needs (a bunch of grey haired old school chums getting together to play board games, chat and drink wine for a weekend). Big kitchen, big lounge, decent bedrooms, plenty of bathrooms, just across from a super country pub and in a picture postcard village. The house and kitchen is well equipped and it’s not pristine kitchen ware so you feel you can have fun cooking. All round it was great and we plan to return please.

Nick’s place was exactly as described. It is very bright and clean. There’s a charming little garden in back for tea. It has all the amenities needed. It was convenient walking distance to the park and ride for trips into Oxford or for that matter London, via bus. We rented a car for day trips and it was very easy to park the car on site. The couple of times I asked Nick a question he was always very responsive.

Fabulous location, very well equipped accommodation with lots of extras. Made to feel welcome by Helen who responded to any messages almost immediately. Fantastic location for walking and some lovely places to visit. The only thing that would have been helpful in the welcome book was information on the nearest local shops for provisions and nearest supermarket, like there was for places to eat.

This was an absolutely beautiful cottage that far exceeded our expectations. It was beautiful throughout and the location was gorgeous and so quiet and relaxing. My personal favourite thing was the piano. It sounded absolutely beautiful and I didn't want to leave it. Fantastic addition. I'd recommend future guests check out the outside seating area (where there's also a trampoline!) as the garden area is beautiful. Overall an absolutely beautiful stay and I'd love to stay here again. Highly recommended!

We loved the cottage and location to the town. Spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Only drawback was the access. Was a choice of parking in an alley which already had a car parked in it on our arrival.....and the road had double yellow lines so that was out. So we parked round the back of the propety but had to go up about 20 steps to get our luggage up. This was hard for us as I'm an astmatic and we are both elderly. Other than that it was perfect.

We had such an amazing stay at Magdalen Cottage. It was exactly as described, the views were spectacular, and I'd highly recommend the walks in the guest book. The children absolutely loved the heated swimming pool, playing table tennis and jumping on the trampoline .. great location with easy access to Oxford for fun days out with the kids. We had a fantastic stay at Ingleby Retreat! The property was clean, peaceful, and beautifully maintained — exactly as described. The surroundings were stunning and the facilities (especially the pool and kitchen) were perfect for a relaxing getaway. Amber was a wonderful host — very responsive, thoughtful, and welcoming. We really appreciated the attention to detail and the smooth check-in process. Thank you for such a lovely experience — we’d definitely love to come back again. Highly recommended!

We had the most wonderful stay and our time flew by all too quickly. We were made to feel at home the moment we walked through the door and Carol and David were so warm in their welcome and responsive to any questions we had. The setting is idyllic with a lovely private garden, beautiful surrounding trees and the uplifting sound of a great variety of birdsong. The option to eat both inside and outside further enhanced our stay and allowed us to take full advantage of the great weather. The swim in the private pool topped off a wonderful weekend and we'd all love to return. We felt very fortunate to find this gem of a cottage and have the opportunity to spend the weekend in it.

The Dovecote is a beautiful, tiny stone built restored outbuilding. Inside, it has been efficiently fitted out in a way that was perfect for our requirements. Its location is even better than we were expecting, being in peaceful natural surroundings with two other larger stonebuilt properties nearby. It's literally right next to the canal, which was busy with canal boats. It's approached along a narrow lane between a row of cottages on one side, and the canal on the other. This gave us an immediate WOW! factor, which continued to include the property itself. We walked from the property right into into Oxford city centre along the canal path - a 13km walk which took us two and a half hours. We also did a shorter walk along the canal in the opposite direction. There are two pubs close by which provided good food (but note - they stop serving food at about 8pm), and a lovely tea room. We stayed three nights and wished we'd had longer. We loved it.

Beautiful peaceful spot in the Cotswold countryside. The cottage is spacious and well equipped with great walks straight from the door. The pool was such a fantastic asset and really added to our holiday.

I only wish we could have stayed longer! Juliet is an incredible host; super friendly and extremely attentive. The property is amazing and to have had the use of the pool and the tennis court, made it the most fantastic value. One of my favourite parts of our two night stay, was that we could leave the property and walk for 20-25 minutes, across fields, to one of two brilliant pubs for supper and then stroll back at dusk - truly idilic! All in all, for me and my two teenage sons, it literally could not have been a more perfect little break from the city. Thank you Juliet and we look forward to visiting The Squadron HQ again very soon X

A beautiful barn conversion in lovely grounds with lots of facilities, with thoughtful and helpful hosts. It was a fabulous long weekend and we didn’t need to leave the grounds to be entertained throughout, from in the pool to playing pool, it was all we could ask for.

I booked bolt hole retreat for a little family gathering in Oxford - my mum and dad stayed there with my brother whilst I was working at waterperry gardens and the loved it. Couldn’t praise the lovely hosts enough who was really helpful. The garden was incredibly beautiful and the farm shop in the village was brilliant

The cottage is so lovely. We really enjoyed our stay there and would definitely book again. Really lovely outside area and nicely furnished throughout

We had a short stay of only two nights and didn’t really get around to using the many amenities provided, but never felt we lacked for anything that we did need. House and bed were comfortable, bathroom shower fixtures were easy to work. Good stay.

Our family travels to Oxford fairly regularly and this was by far our favorite stay! The home itself is beautifully appointed and exudes Oxford charm. Every space is well thought out, cozy, and efficient. The garden is exquisite—elegantly landscaped and neatly kept. The roses were in full bloom when we arrived in late May and the most fragrant I have encountered! The location is equally superb. The immediate vicinity is extremely peaceful with lovely neighbors and right around the corner are some of the best pubs, restaurants, and cafes that Oxford has to offer. Immense thanks to Annick and her team for a lovely visit! We hope to return again soon.

I had a lovely stay in Melissa’s townhouse in Jericho. She was quite helpful and communicative, and the townhouse is very peaceful. There are no walls between the downstairs floor and upstairs, which was just fine for my solo travel. It’s a great location and charming spot!

Small but perfectly formed. My sister and I stayed for a couple of nights. The place was easy to find and quite well appointed. Nice, tidy kitchen and bathroom. Easy-to-use sofa bed wasn’t the most comfortable ever but I slept well. Would be happy to visit again and I appreciated the effort in hosting this quality of place.

stayed with Adam for 7 nights. The team was always in touch, the apartment is amazing, everything is new and clean, a lot of attention was paid to details such as candles, flowers, blankets on the chair and sofa, lamps, everything is very organic and without frills. In the kitchen, a nice bonus is spices, olive oil and balsamic vinegar, you must agree, a small thing, but so nice. You go into the apartment and feel at home, warm and cozy, and a bonus in the morning, birds sing outside the window. Silence and peace.
