Eastside Bohemian Retreat

We’re located in a charming, peaceful neighborhood in the heart of East Austin, only a block and a half away from the beautiful Lady Bird Lake. While the street itself is quiet and cozy, full of a mix of new modern houses and older southern bungalows, it is in an incredibly central location with easy accessibility to downtown Austin, Rainey Street, and other popular Austin attractions. An interactive map of these attractions will be provided to you once you arrive at the house! Our house has both modern and bohemian chic elements with lots of light and indoor and outdoor space and greenery. There are wooden floors throughout with the exception of the bathrooms and master bedroom. This house is a great option for couples, families with kids, and groups. We use a state of the art security system called August to ensure extra safety. I live four blocks away from the home, and I am available to meet you in person if needed. I will also be available to answer any questions via email or telephone. However, you will be able to enter on your own during check in time once you are assigned your personal access code for your stay. Stroll down the quiet, tree-lined street or into town to some of the most popular food and drink options Austin has to offer. La Barbeque, Launderette, and Juan in a Million are all great options for some local treats. Ride sharing services available in Austin include: Uber, Lyft, Ride Austin. There is plenty of street parking available as it is a residential neighborhood, but if you have any trouble with parking please let me know. Please always close the front gate when you leave the house. This helps keep the home extra safe! :)

The unit has a large bathroom with a walk-in closet and plenty of room for your luggage and getting ready with comfort. The condo is a studio layout, but the queen-sized bed is tucked away in a secluded nook of the apartment. Comfortably sleeps 2 people, and there is a foldout futon for an additional guest. Perfect for anyone looking for a modern, relaxed and comfortable space! Guests will have access to one free covered parking space located at the apartment complex. Free WiFi - great space to get some work/business taken care of while in town. The WiFi is also connected to a SmartTV, where you can access your personal accounts such as Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, Vudu, YouTube, Pandora, and other channels. Clean sheets, clean towels, soap, shampoo, conditioner provided! Modern, high-speed, free washer and dryer located on the same floor of the condo in the complex. I will provide you with personalized recommendations, tips, notes, and local insights if you are interested. I am just a text or email away, however if there is an emergency please call otherwise text is probably the fastest way to reach me. The home is situated in a quiet neighborhood in downtown Austin, located walking distance from Darrell Royal Stadium, UT, AT&T Conference Center, Texas Capitol building, restaurants, museums, cafes, parks, stores, salons and the famous 6th Street. If you are in town for a conference at the AT&T center, you will be happy to know it is only 6 easy blocks away, 4 blocks from the UT campus, 8 blocks from the Erwin Center, 11 blocks or a $5-$7 cab ride to 6th street or the football stadium. The Austin Convention Center is just about a mile and a half away, for a leisurely stroll through downtown or a $7-$8 cab ride. Starbucks and Wells Fargo are 2 blocks in one direction, sandwich shops and pizza 2 blocks in the other. There is a 7-11 in both directions. Great Indian food and neighborhood pubs in easy walking distance. This home away from home is near everything you need! Parking is an assigned spot in a covered garage. The garage has low clearance (7 feet) and the parking spots are regular, car-sized spots. Large SUVs and trucks will stick out too far. There is paid city street parking ($1/hr) during day time, and it is free overnight and on Sundays. Host is not responsible for loss, theft, damage, injury or cancellation fees. Airbnb recommends that all guests purchase traveler's insurance.

This is an eclectic and imaginative one bedroom cottage sanctuary with a front porch swing for watching east Austin mosey on by. Joyous comfort is to be had in the main bedroom with custom cathedral ceiling and tempurpedic bed. The bathroom features a walk in shower with custom tile and a clawfoot tub for all of your bathing dreams. There is an additional sleeping loft should you have a friend or two who would like to accompany you. City of Austin Operating License # 096563 This lot features a front house (all yours) and a back house that we stay at when we are in Austin. Please make yourself at home on the front and side porches but we ask that you give some privacy to the back yard immediately surrounding the back house. Thank you! I travel often but regularly stay in the back house on the property. I love getting to know guests and if our paths cross I look forward to talking with you. Central East Austin is a diverse and dynamic neighborhood that is just a few minutes from downtown and yet still quiet. In addition to offering of some of Austin's best restaurants and music venues, it also has important history to explore. In the last century, highway 35 was a tool of segregation, with east (of 35) Austin providing a rich community for African Americans. See how this history lives on through a plethora of old and new businesses is this burgeoning neighborhood! There is a parking spot that you are welcome to use directly in front of the house and there is also plenty of street parking with no permitting or street cleaning concerns. The closest B-Cycle station is a 15 minute walk away at Victory Grill on 11th St. Many of the 6th St restaurants and bars are a 10 minute walk as well. If you would prefer not to walk, there are a selection of ride share services such as RideAustin (our favorite), Lyft, or Uber. The street has two names, Hamilton Ave and Richard Overton Ave. Depending on your map source you may see either one pop up. Richard Overton is the oldest living American and American World War II veteran at 112 years of age. He lives down the block where be bought a house after the war ended.

Central Austin Living in a Light-Filled Retreat

Overlook an idyllic, foliage-flanked terrace from the comfort of your sumptuous king size bed. This home’s high ceiling adds a sense of luxury and space, while terracotta floor tiles and natural wood furnishings create a warm, welcoming ambience. The things that make this stay unique inside is the large room, big closet, lots a lot of natural sunlight, high ceilings, dedicated air conditioning unit, and I really try to make it as homey as I want to want it to be when I'm traveling. Direct TV and wifi ofcourse. Outside the room: you cannot beat the location - easy access to all events in and around Austin, downtown is a 10 minute cab ride, and with your own parking/driveway you will probably not even know that anybody else lives there. Coffee maker, microwave, and refrigerator are in the room, And you are welcome to use our grill in the backyard. I have it pretty well stocked with things that you need but you are always welcome to ask for more supplies. I'm pretty quick reply to text messages The housekeeper comes on Wednesdays if you are in for a longer trip and want your room cleaned. There is a King Sleep Number bed & and an AMAZING DEDICATED LG Airconditioning/heating unit! We are a busy family and you will probably not see us but if you need us for any help at all, then shoot us a text! Also when you're here for events if I'm available to drop you off or pick you up I'm happy to help with that. The guest suite is located in beautiful Westlake Hills, one of Austin’s most desirable neighborhoods. It’s just minutes from Barton Springs, Lady Bird Lake, several hiking trails and downtown. Heading out further? Access to Expressways is fast nearby! Please do not smoke in the room or in the backyard I really appreciate it!
