Cottage holiday rentals in Hayling Island

We had a lovely stay at Greenbank. The house was spacious, tidy and clean, and we appreciated the extras provided by the host (towels, toiletries, tea and coffee). The property is just a short walk away from a playground , shop, pharmacy and local places to explore, which we enjoyed investigating. Our 4-year-old loved reading the children's books from around the house and the garden was a lovely spot to play in. We paid to have the hot tub, which we found easy to use and great fun. We took our 19 month twin girls on their first holiday, and the Piggery did not disappoint. We wanted a place with no stairs so it was a good find, the accommodation was great, with probably the most comfortable bed my wife and I have every had away from home, we couldn't believe it! the girls had their own room which was large enough for a single bed and the two travel cots. Kitchen had everything we needed, toilet and shower room was more than adequate for our needs. The best part of the stay were the sheep, our girls absolutely loved saying hi in the morning and bye at night, the sheep were friendly and the girls loved them so much I may need to get some of my own 😲. The instructions were spot on, easy to get in and out, plenty of storage in a locked barn for the roof box and buggy. The location is great, very peaceful, lovely walks, 10 minutes to Lymington, 30 minutes to Southampton. we got the ferry from Lymington to the Isle of Wight. Highly recommend this stay.

We had an amazing stay at Ashley’s cottage. The kitchen/living area is absolutely beautiful and suited us as a group of friends when doing breakfast/lunch etc. Our favourite bit of the property has to be the outside area. Having an outdoor shower/toilet, hot tub, kitchen area and bbq just topped off our weekend and we spent most of our time outdoors. A few outdoor games were left in the garden and it gave a good few hours of entertainment for us too! Ashley was super inviting and was very clear with check in instructions etc. The house felt very safe & secure and we all got very good night sleep from comfortable beds. We would love to come back again next year and for years after this!! A really lovely place!

Absolutely stunning place. Like a super luxurious safari lodge! Whole area is beautiful and everything in the lodge is state of the art. We stayed with our 3 kids who fought over who would get the canopy bed in the lounge. Loved the hot tub, had a fab bbq and slept like babies. Spent a day at west wittering beach which is close by and felt like we were abroad. Sarah’s lovely and couldn’t do enough for us. She even let us stay all Sunday as they had no-one arriving at no extra cost. Who does that? We’ll definitely be back!

We had a lovely weekend for my Dad’s birthday - the cottage was far more spacious than it looked and was set in the most beautiful surroundings. Neil and Caroline were lovely and super helpful. Thanks for the best stay!

A fabulous stay at Winterberry Barn, will be back again very soon. Luxurious, modern accommodation, quirky/fun additions to the decor, in a beautiful, peaceful and secure setting with walks and views on your doorstep with a hot tub and fire pit to return to in the evening. A choice of local pubs and ideally located for Salisbury, Winchester and Peppa Pig World!

The converted stable has been finished to a very high standard and is absolutely beautiful. Fabulous bathroom with a lovely roll top bath as well as an excellent shower. Kitchen finished to a very high spec with all needed utensils in place. Bed was extremely comfortable with great quality pillows & duvet. The hot tub was the icing on the cake, which we enjoyed every day. We were lucky enough to see two red squirrels when out walking early in the morning as well as a barn owl 🥰

Absolute perfection and nothing less! Run like a 5 star resort. Stunning grounds, well thought out extras and extremely cosy. The pond and animals are a bonus as they make the visit feel even more homely. The shop is adorable and such a clever idea. The place was immaculate. Cannot complain one bit. Don’t give it a second thought.

A wonderful cottage that makes you feel right at home. Absolutely beautiful with a wonderful garden, so peaceful we didn't want to leave. Wifi is provided which covers the property and phone reception is good anyway on the whole island. There are some low beams in this type of property as others have mentioned, so mind your head! We had a really fab time and loved every minute of our holiday there.

Very welcoming hosts. Wonderful place - comfortable in lovely quiet location very handy to explore the delights of Chichester harbour and West Wittering beach. Loved the Crown and Anchor pub at Dell Quay. Also enjoyed lovely walk from Crab and Lobster pub in Sidlesham around RSPB reserve at Pagham harbour. We hope to return.

What a fantastic host! Stayed here prior to getting married at new barn farm and every last detail was just perfect. The property was spacious, clean and beautifully presented. The host did so much to make us feel welcome and added lots of little touches which made the experience so memorable. I have never stayed anywhere that has been this attentive before and would absolutely return in a heart beat. Thank you so much for all you did for us on such a special occasion, we will never forget it.

Our stay with Caroline & David was great. Very friendly, helpful & were always willing to help with anything. The property & gardens were amazing & safe for our dog Olive who does like to wander every nook & cranny. The bottle of bubbly, crisps, home made jams, & Olive’s doggy treats were most welcome & a nice touch. Thank you! We made the very most of our stay regarding sightseeing & it was always nice to return to our dwelling at the end of the day. Hope to return in the future.

I would love to stay at Cuckoo Cottage again. This is a cottage and location which is great for relaxing and recharging one’s batteries and an absolutely wonderful place for those who enjoy the natural world with ponies, donkeys, cattle etc grazing just outside the garden gate. Karen has made the cottage extra inviting for guests with special touches here and there which make a stay even more enjoyable. The bed is exceedingly comfortable, the bathrooms beautifully equipped and the courtyard garden sunny and private. The kitchen, although separate from the cottage is only a few steps away and looks over the garden. It is well equipped for food prep and an enjoyable place in which to eat if the weather doesn’t permit use of the table and chairs in the garden.

Beautiful peaceful cottage set in woodland and fields with everything you could possibly want. The decor and furnishings have a cosy comfortable country charm just as described. The cottage is light and airy and spacious very relaxing and homely. The secure fenced garden made our stay perfect for our two little dogs to run around and play without worry which gave us the peace of mind needed. Lovely walks right on your doorstep and pubs near by with Selina the perfect host this cottage is a little gem and I will definitely be booking again.

Everything was great with our stay. The house was easy to find and off a major road but with no noise. The unit itself was very comfortable. Andy helped me out big time with dunking my bag in water as it smelled like smoke after my trip from Marrakech. I would have done it myself but the unit had no tub.

We had a great long Easter weekend here- house had plenty of room for family of 6 for doing things together and also space to do separate things when desired - plenty of comfortable seating in 2 separate living rooms plus a nice table in dining room for board games! House and gardens were clean and lovey - highly recommend!

We loved Susan’s cottage. It was perfect for our family of 4. It was really cosy and welcoming, we felt immediately at home. Location was great, being able to walk to the pubs and restaurants in the evening, but set in a lovely peaceful little row of cottages. Susan was also a super helpful host and really responsive. We had a great holiday, loved exploring Yarmouth and West Wight.

We really enjoyed our stay at Bear Cottage. It was warm and cosy, and had everything we needed for our long weekend. A short walk to Beaulieu and ideally situated for visiting the Motor Museum. We especially enjoyed using the tennis courts (agreed by prior arrangement). Thank you Angy - a wonderful host!

Beautiful place in such a quiet private road. A hidden little gem and love that you can visit their private woodland. It had everything we could have needed and even welcomed with a lovely welcome hamper! Sonja also put out some lovely balloons on request for my partners birthday! We followed one of the walks that was in the welcome book which was perfect to take our toddler in his stroller! We also visited the pub down the road called the badgers which served delicious food and also there’s a little coffee hut at the end of the road where we got take away coffees for our walks! An all round lovely place to stay close to so many things, would love to stay hopefully again!

Had an amazing stay in Anna’s cottage - the rooms and bathrooms are all very nice and the living room was a great space for our group to hang out. The surrounding area has great hikes and lovely countryside pubs m. Although this cottage is on Anna’s own property, there is still lots of privacy and this was never an issue. Anna is also very welcoming, friendly and thoughtful, ensuring we had a great time during our stay. Would definitely come back here! :)

We had a really nice stay with 2 small children. Julie clearly has put a lot of care into making the cottage accommodating. It's a beautiful spot with lovely outdoor space. The toys, board games and dvds were also great to have.

Nicole and John’s cottage was super clean and very well equipped, with everything our family needed for a three-night stay. It’s right next to the ocean, tucked away in Nicole and John’s garden, so it’s ideal for a quiet stay. John and Nicole were very responsive and they helped us solve minor issues instantly. Would definitely return!
