Beachfront holiday rental in Hatteras

Wonderful place and very pet friendly. The location of the house on a beach access point/path was such an important benefit that I had not realized when booking the house (I did not know that there were specific beach access points and if you were not on a beach path, you had to walk to one and then head east to get to the beach) The beach cart and all of the beach accessories were terrific (shibuni, chairs, towels, cooler, beach mat, toys, bikes ect.) no need to pack/bring anything for the beach with you! Thanks for a great stay!

We had a great three night stay, my three adult children and I. The beach was surprisingly almost ours to ourselves. For an older traditional OBX house, it was well updated and very well appointed. The central floor plan is very open. I love it when you can be in the kitchen cooking while talking to everybody in the living area and those around the dinner table at the same time. Awesome view of the ocean off the back deck. We sat in the hot tub and still see the ocean. Im sometimes leary of hot tubs at the beach, a lot of times they are not well maintained. Danielle's was spotless and the water chemistry was perfect and safe. There was absolutely nothing we needed or any place where we needed to go that was not within a 5-minute drive. All of my family are fisherman. if you like to fish, there's not a better place to stay. getting from the house to the beach to surf fish takes less than a minute. we walked up to the OBX Pier several times to fish, probably less than a 5 minute walk.

Amazing house, great location and everything that was promised. The house was easy to access and Josh was very responsive to any questions we had. The house was beautiful and clean. The outdoor area and pool were great for relaxing and enjoying the weather. Quick walk to the beach. Would love to stay here again next year. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. The house was spotless and perfectly maintained. Everything was just as promised in the listing.

This was our second visit at Nags Head at this location. It is a 5-minute walk to the public beach access, and just minutes from the main drag. Love the location which is close to where our daughter works, and the convenience to the local restaurants and tourist traps. A great location/value for the money!

We loved our time at A Stones Throw - perfect location across from a beautiful beach access, we loved all the outdoor decks and porches, comfortable furniture on each level, and beds were comfy. Huge table in living space for family dinner and games. We enjoyed the pool one day and the hot tub and also roasted marshmallows at the fire pit. It was a a really nice visit.

There was plenty of room for the four of us! Everything was clean and tidy. While you are still pretty close to a lot of other houses, you have views of the ocean in between, and on the stormy nights, we could hear the waves crashing on the beach. The house is also very close to an ice cream shop and The Froggy Dog restaurant, which serves an excellent dinner menu. The house also provides beach chairs, sand toys, kayaks, etc. so you don't have to bring anything but your beach towel! Overall we had a pleasant stay.

Kate was great! The place was beautiful, and all amenities were equal to or better than advertised. Everything was clean. The heated pool and hot tub were ready for us... The decks were great, especially the upper roof deck where you could start early and watch sunrise and go back up at night for sunset... Although the house is in a neighborhood this house is situated so that nobody is near you. The only sort of nearby house faces away from you, so privacy was high, and noise was low. The only thing we contacted Kate about was that when we got there the wifi wasn't working. She responded promptly with the news that the entire Outer Banks wifi was down. So not only was it out of her hands, but she also sleuthed out the problem and reported it to us right away. And it was back up the next morning. Avon is pretty small, and that's a big part of the charm. But we found several good restaurants. Ketch 55 in Avon was very good. Others a few miles south...

This was a wonderful experience. We loved the well stocked kitchen and dog friendly house. No one complained, from adults down to teenagers :). Marsha and Steve gave some excellent recommendations for our first stay at Outer Banks. Teens/young adults loved the outdoor shower and mom loved the washer/dryer. The amount of outdoor furniture was impressive. Such a beautiful weekend! Beach is close enough to walk to and the chairs were very helpful. Thanks again!

Spent a wonderful girl’s trip in this condo and enjoyed every second. Beautiful, clean space, easy beach accesses, and walkable to my favorite restaurants. This was the perfect place to stay to introduce my friends to OBX for the first time. Would absolutely stay again!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Makai Sunrise! The house had many charming features and was spacious enough for our larger group. The hosts were very thoughtful and accommodating throughout the entire trip. We look forward to coming back!

Staying at Park and Paddle was fantastic! The house was impeccably clean and well -stocked with everything we needed.Natile was very accommodating and provided great local tips.We cant wait to come back!

Beautiful condo that is right on the water. The view from the balcony is worth staying at this condo. There is easy beach access and the condo is clean. It is the perfect size and location for a beach getaway. Gene is extremely friendly and responsive as well.

Great location, easy access, cleanest jacuzzi I've seen, fantastic pool, close to the beach through a 100 yard trek through some brush, a path with stairs, and a mid-sized dune. Comments from my friends: 1) a lot of stairs and incline beach access for people with mobility issues. 2) Game room is completely separate from the rest of the house. 3) No staircase to top floor from the deck, but no biggie. 4) Great spaces and amenities, but bathrooms do not have fans or opening windows so watch out there.

I can't say enough positive things about Anthony or Diamond Shells. Beautiful beach front home. Do understand that, while the walk to the beach is very short, it is quite sloped - this is the case for every single beachfront home due to the topography. The house was absolutely perfect, and so was Anthony. Very responsive host and answered all questions very promptly and graciously.

We had a wonderful stay… the OBX is now our favorite vacations spot! Sounds Groovy was Awesome with wonderful and responsive hosts.

We all felt very at home, the house is gorgeous and the beach is right there. We each had our own room and bathroom. Carrie was always quick to respond to our questions. We definitely want to go back there if possible next year and use her house again. None of us wanted to leave. We even saw dolphins from her deck, it was amazing. Thank you Carrie for everything!!!

We absolutely enjoyed our stay! The view was beautiful and loved that the beach was walkable distance. Would definitely love to come back!

The pictures don't do this place justice. It's an incredible location with more than enough space for 4+ adults and can easily fit more. Quiet, tons of natural light with phenomenal sunset views every night (sunrises not too shabby either). Comfortable furniture, good AC, great kitchen space and amenities. Enough kayaks and paddle boards for the Brady bunch family. Good shower pressure and internet. Master bed was very soft for those with bad backs like myself but stellar stay overall.

We loved our stay here at the cottage! It was so cozy and made us feel like home. Also very clean which I greatly appreciated. The location was fabulous and the cottage was in such a great location across from the beach. It was a highlight of our vacation. We’d love to come back again!

We just got back today. This home is absolutely perfect for a quiet getaway. Sit on the couch, at the dining table, wake up in bed, wash dishes….wherever you are in this home, you will have an ocean view!!!!!!! Richard was very responsive and attentive. We travel down to OBX 2x a year and this will definitely be the place we stay! Rodanthe has that small town feel and just perfect for those that do not want to be around the crowds. Step right off the deck and onto the sand. Walk the beach and enjoy the sounds and views. Sunrise, sunsets? You get both in this home from every room! We loved our stay and will be back this fall!

We enjoyed our stay at Nikki’s apartment very much. The space is very clean, inviting and had all the amenities listed on the description. The photos are accurate and reflect the second floor apartment well. We like to cook a few meals while traveling and found all the pots, pans and utensils we needed in the kitchen. New appliances are also available. It is located in a peaceful, quiet and safe neighborhood. Nikki and her husband were friendly and available if needed. Would definitely consider returning again.

Everything is perfect at the house and would definitely return. The beach access is fantastic and everything in the home is comfortable.

This was our 2nd time staying, We absolutely love the private peacefulness atmosphere! Perfect getaway for a couple. As well as how clean and kept the property is! The bar is set high. The home made us really feel at home. Hopefully it will be available for future visits!
