“What a beautiful little property. We booked to stay one night. The communication between Stuart and myself leading up to the date booked was excellent. Clear directions to the property. We arrived at the scheduled time even though we were told we could arrive earlier. Welcomed by Stuart. Annexe smelt clean and was very tidy. Lovely sized kitchen, hallway and bedroom. Gorgeous bathroom (there is no bathroom door though is my only eek! This isnt a problem if you’re staying as a solo occupant.) TV was great with the access to Netflix etc. The bed we found on the small side for a couple but it didn’t deter from just how lovely this property is. Cereals, butter, milk, tea and coffee were there free of charge. Lots of little nibbles, snacks with an honesty box (really novel - luckily we packed our own snacks so we didn’t invade all of yours! Haha!) You really can’t fault this property or the host. Thank you so much for having us. You have a lovely home.”
This little retreat offering CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST is situated within the walled garden and is adjacent to a charming footpath which leads to the old Church of St Johns where the famous Thomas Lord, founder of the Lords cricket ground, is buried. The barn consists of a large airy room with dual-aspect windows, complete with a charming private en-suite with bath and hand-held shower. A comfy, French-feel with the door leading to a pretty cottage garden for you to relax and make yourself at home.
“The room is set in a beautiful village and is perfectly placed to get out and about to enjoy the wonderful countryside. The room is immaculate and clean, the bed comfortable and the little extras such as fresh milk, bread croissants etc make it superb. The bathroom gives a choice of bath or shower, and the whole room is well furnished with everything you need. Bernadette is an amazing host. Very quick to respond, and very helpful with any queries or questions. Makes some great recommendations for dinner etc so if you have never visited before then you will always get good advice and maximise your stay. I really enjoyed my stay here and would certainly recommend to anyone else.”
