Hiking terrain right outside the door all year, prepared ski slopes a short car ride away in the winter. About an hour drive to Oslo, an hour and a half to Lillehammer. Hadeland Glassverk and Kistefoss a half hour away. Some traffic noise. You choose whether to wash out yourself. Otherwise, the final cleaning costs NOK 800, or if you have pets, NOK 1000. A nice garden leads down to a private beach by Mjøsa. Beautiful perennial bed and a separate kitchen garden to supply yourself with. You can relax on the porch with a good book, and make delicious local and organic food, with the farm's and the area's own products. There are great hiking opportunities on Helgøya, for walking, running and cycling.
