Summer paradise by Göta Kanal

Gammalrud is a farm, which is located in the northern part of the peninsula, which goes into Lake Viken and is called Vika forests. Here we conduct forestry and lamb production since 1976. Surrounded by the beautiful forest, lake Viken (the highest point of Göta Kanal) and the hospitality of Thord and Ulla, this is your idyllic home away from home. We have renovated the old farm dairy, "Mejeriet", and made it into a nice home that we rent out to guests. The ground floor consists of a hallway, a kitchen suited for 8 persons and a large living room with a cozy fireplace. The living room floor is made of hand-made bricks from the old brickworks in the nearby village Horn. The upper floor consists of one large room with wooden floor and alcoves for 6 persons. At the old canal landing, we have built a large boathouse. Here is a place, not just for boats, but also for gatherings and parties. If you´d like to go fishing you are more than welcome to rent our small boat to try your luck catching pike, perch or any of the other fish in lake Viken. There is also a sauna in the Boathouse. Gammalrud is a farm dating back to the Middle Ages. A full list of previous owners dates back to 1498. In the 1600s, Gammalrud became a manor when the first corp de logi was built by Thord Jönsson Reuterberg. In the 1800s, Gammalrud became part of the Swedish industrial history by one of the owners, Theodor Winborg, also known as “Ättikskungen” , the founder of Winborg´s vinegar and later by his brother in law, Helge Palmqrantz, an inventor and industrialist with machine factories in Stockholm. Both agricultural tools and weapons were made there. A machine gun, designed by Helge Palmqrantz to be part of the defense on Karlsborgs fortress, can be seen at the fortress museum.

Holidays by the lake Unden

In the middle of West Götalands unspoilt nature with its lakes and forests, near the big lake Vättern, about 5 kilometers from the village of Undenäs and far away from any through traffic, the small country village of Igelstad is located, directly on the lake Unden. The village is a small collection of scattered houses and farms, of which some are permanently inhabited, while others are used as summer cottages. Here, in a large clearing in the forest, the small farm "Nolgården" is situated. The house is a separate, well-equipped classic wooden log house, built in spruce. It was thourougly renovated in 2008. There is a private bathroom, kitchen and private terrace, Internet connection (WLAN) and Amazon Fire TV (Magenta TV). A cozy fireplace and electric heating provide comfortable warmth. Directly from the house you can make nice walks in the unspoilt nature, pick berries and mushrooms, or walk to lake Unden, one of the clearest and most pristine lakes in Sweden. From the house to the west side of the peninsula, there is only 800 meters. Here you can have a swim or enjoy the sunset over Unden. The eastern shore can be reached in quarter of an hour via a forest path. By the shore a canoe lies ready for extensive reconnaissance trips to the beautiful deserted islands and quiet bays. But the area has much more to offer: the romantic Tiveden National Park, Lake Viken, Forsvik and the Göta canal with its locks, and the huge lake Vättern are just a few examples of interesting destinations.

Här finner du lugnet, skogen och naturen in på knuten och här har du möjlighet att bo ca 10 meter från vatten och Göta Kanal. Ett helt unikt läge för bad, sol (förhoppningsvis), vila och möjligheter till fin natur. Se båtarna passera precis utanför ditt fönster. - Litet men välutrustad kök. - 3 separata sovrum finns varav en med dubbelsäng och två med enkelsäng. - extra bäddsoffa i vardagsrum. - Nyinstallerade luft/luft pump säkerställer en jämn temperatur inomhus. - TV med Fiber uppkoppling.

Grenadjärstorp i idylliska Borghamn

Torpet som ligger ett stenkast från Vätterns strand med Omberg som fond och med den vackra slätten som breder ut sig runt Borghamn. Vi ser fram mot att möta 2025 med kommande gäster och tveka inte att titta på annonsen och kontakta mig för eventuella förfrågningar. Detta blir vårt 10 år som värdar för vårt torp och vi har genom dessa år träffat så många trevliga gäster från när och fjärran. Gäster som beskriver trakten som vacker och rofylld. I närheten finns en stenindustri som är i bruk.

Komfortabelt semesterboende med det lilla extra. Nära badplats, vacker natur, golfbana, Skövde och Skara Sommarland. Husets planlösning är öppen och luftig. Det moderna köket och det inbjudande vardagsrummet är belägna i husets öppna del med en enastående takhöjd. På bottenplan finns därtill ett sovrum med dubbelsäng (140 cm bred) och en toalett med dusch. Med en trappstege tar man sig upp till det mysiga sovloftet som är utrustat med två intilliggande 90cm sängar. Hjärtligt välkomna.

Welcome to our cozy cabin! Nestled by the edge of a peaceful pool, you'll find a hot tub that comfortably accommodates up to five people, offering a stunning panoramic view of the lake. The jacuzzi and sauna is available year-round. The swimming pool is open until 6th of October, perfect for cooling off during warmer months. We also provide two paddleboards. Nature is just outside your door and in the evening you will watch the sun set over the lake. We look forward to welcoming you!

Cozy cabin with a view, near Tiveden

This cozy cottage is located in Undenäs, on the edge of a little holiday park. From the house you have a beautiful view of the area and you can walk into the forest for a lovely walk. Do not forget to walk along the viewpoint and enjoy the surroundings. The cottage is close to the National Nature Park Tiveden, where you can enjoy beautiful walks. Or visit in Karlsborg the fortress, minigolf, the Göta Canal or Forsvik Bruk where you can see 600 years of Swedish industrial history.

The View

Söker ni en lantlig miljö med fantastiskt utsikt över Vättern? Då har ni hittat rätt! Känner inte till många stugor i Sverige där man kan se tre olika län från en och samma plats. Stugan har det mesta då det kommer till bekvämlighet. Fullutrustat kök, bäddsoffa, dubbelsäng och badrum. Därtill wifi och tv med Netflix etc. Utomhus finns ett trädäck med grill, bord samt stolar och utomhuseldstad. Har ni barn i sällskapet finns ytor att springa runt på, gunga samt åka rutschkana.

Simsjön is a scenic and peaceful spot, perfect for escaping everyday stress and spending quality time together. You can borrow your own boat to explore the lake and enjoy fishing 🎣🌿

Koppla av med hela familjen i detta fridfulla boende. Egen brygga och strand. Bastun väntar när ni kommer tillbaka till huset. Två helt nygjorda toaletter för er bekvämlighet. Närhet till fantastiska Tivedens nationalpark och fiske bara 100 m från huset. Otroligt vacker utsikt över sjön Viken. Oändligt med vandringsområden precis utanför huset eller varför inte låna de två cyklarna som står till ert förfogande och cykla ner till glasskiosken vid Göta kanal.

Sjöstugan

Välkommen till vårt lilla sommarparadis. Under många år har vi haft denna stuga som vårt "andningshål". Numera är vi pensionärer och bor på gården som denna tomt styckats av från. Stugan ligger vid sjön Viken, egen brygga och liten roddbåt ingår. En gäststuga med flera bäddar och lika fin utsikt men utan bekvämlighet finns också. Egen långgrund strand med vacker solnedgång. Vi bor 4 km från stugan.

Välkommen till denna avskilda och mysiga stuga med sjöutsikt över sjön Örlen. Stugan ligger ett stenkast från barnvänlig och välskött strand med bad- och båtbrygga. Här kan ni koppla av och njuta av lugnet, bada, fiska, promenera, cykla, plocka svamp. Huset ligger mittemellan Sveriges största sjöar - Vättern och Vänern så det finns många sevärdheter som ligger i närheten att besöka och njuta av.
